      AP: SP or REM Atonia?

Whenever I see how to AP or the likes it specifically say you need to be in a state of SP in order to completely separate from the physical plane. Do they really mean true SP or do they mean just a deep state of relaxation/REM Atonia? I definitely feel the vibrations, hear voices and feel stuff tickle my nose, etc, but I have never consciously been in SP before, so I am seeing a pretty large gap in my trying to AP. Thoughts?
      Cheers

Try to move when you experience that stuff. If you can't move, that's SP. That's when you might want to use something like the roll-over technique, and try to roll out of bed, the idea being your astral body only rolls out, rolling out of your physical body.
