Out of body experiences & Lucid Dreaming...Perspective?

      Intro

I was just wondering what all your perspectives are on the "two" states of awareness. Do you find them different or one in the same what are your reasons or experiences on the matter? I would like to hear your opinions I will also give my view on the phenomena how ever I do not wish you to make anyone feel uncomfortable or inflict my beliefs on anyone as they are personal not factual in any sense...

      My Opinion

In January 2013 I had my first Out of body basically I had been getting sleep paralysis a few times a month for 5 years. I woke up in SP and felt uncomfortable and slightly scared then something clicked I was like "F*ck this I don't need this I am going to endure this as I am fed up of dealing with it" so I confronted my sleep paralysis head on . Funnily enough seconds later it died down and I felt numb then it happened. I raised out of my body up towards my ceiling I could see with my eyes shut then BAMN!!! I am back within my physical body.

I woke up had a cigarette feeling euphoric and amazed pondering to myself about what had just happened. I had heard of lucid dreaming so I looked it up on the web to my surprise nothing was really fitting my experience so I typed something along the lines of "I had sleep paralysis and then floated out my body" terms appearing where such like "OUT OF BODY" "REMOTE VIEWING" "ASTRAL PROJECTION" I was like whoa wait what ? That thing that happens in Insidious....you're kidding me right?

Since then I was determined to explore this state Lucid Dreaming wasn't even I want for me so up until around November 2013 I was on and off practising inducing the state. Within that time I had a good few Out of body experiences a small amount of what are considered "astral travel" and 1 circumstance I described as Lucid dreaming.

Now in 2014 I am focusing on lucid dreaming as I feel my OBE's and Astral travels where quite profound and need cultivation to achieve more desirable experiences so now I am going to go into the differences between the two in my opinion. I have had a few lucid dreams now in 2014 so I have made some connected differences which in my experiences have highlighted the borders of each and resolved conflictual thoughts on the matter.

      Personal Belief of Differences

      Recall:

Lucid Dreaming - After awaking from a Lucid Dream even though it feels like I am there at the time in the state after waking from them I often reflect on it like its a dream is has the hazy fantasy feeling of a normal dream.

OBE/AP - After awakening the events which took place often feel like a memory for example if I had a OBE 5 minutes ago it would be recalled that way fully immersible in the memory bank and if it was a week ago it would feel like a week ago. After an OBE has took place it feels like a memory I had lived in not just during the state.

      Time Perception:

Lucid Dreaming - Time has normally related to the physical in which 3 minutes has felt pretty much like 3 minutes.

OBE/AP - Time has no constraints 3 seconds can be 3 hours it has never matched up to my experience and always has its own time agenda.

      Control:

Lucid Dreaming - Its acceptable to note after reading a lot no Lucid Dreamer controls every single mechanic of their Dream scape however control can be utilized to change aspects of the dream for it to revolve around. I have made small changes nothing drastic but its quite incredible how the power of intent works.

OBE/AP - I have never had any influence on the surroundings I have been in (not from lack of trying may I add) nothing not a shred of my intent has worked on changing something although intent can help guide me in motion or movement.

      My Body

Lucid Dreaming - I feel like my body is my body it has a life like feel and is hard to distinguish between this and the physical one.

OBE/AP - If I have a body it feels like a ghost literally hollow and spacious sometimes even a light blue colour. Then there have been those times I am just some form of a blob which slides across the reality like a slug awkwardly and oddly.

      Outro

I don't expect you to change your views reading this for me sometimes I won't lie I still question if there is a difference I think its very human to question everything which is fun and in intriguing I have more opinions but I don't want to bore everyone... So what's your opinion would love to hear?

My view of this is similar...

LD are better remembered than normal dreams, but OBE is so strong experience, that it is easier to remember than experience in this dimension. Consciousness is so much more concentrated...

Time perception... it is much more deformed in mental dimension... and budhic? Time there seems to flow through millenia ... and as it stands still, then flow reverses... then goes forward... it is confusing to explain it, but if you are experiencing it it is perfectly normal.

Control is thing which is improving by experiences. But- in OBE I found that it is better to not force/imagine things. It destabilizes existence in there and forces me back to my body. It is possible to will things to happen by themselves- passively active process. Confusing? Concentration and detachment of everything is a key for me. Being unattached observer. The higher level of dimension, or the higher dimension itself, the higher level of detachment is needed. The more concentrated observer state is needed. I found this, could somebody confirm it?

Body- it is not necessary. Maybe in half of my experiences I don't have body- either I have only needed parts like hand when I need to touch something... or immaterial limbs and I see myself as a sphere or point... or I'm simply not there at all("visibly"- I'm there as consciousness) If I have visible body I often have a blue violet shining aura. When I concentrate the aura seems to grow in intensity and size. I have not problems with moving... But I would like to be able to move through object more easy. It looks like the detachment is the key in this too.
