      Seen yourself in a dream?

I wanted to know how many people have actually seen themselves in their dreams? I turned around in my dream and stared myself in the face and screamed myself to wake up. Has anyone had a similar experience? Can you share your experience and insights?

Uh, I mean I've had different dreams and false awakenings where I've been looking in a mirror, I don't know about actually seeing a person that looks like you in a dream though

I also don't quite understand what you are looking for but I see myself often when I dream. I don't dream in first person so much so I see myself from behind or in 3rd person you know. Also I have looked at myself in mirrors. I also have seen what other dc's see when looking at me too. But when I have false awakenings I am always in first person so I don't see myself and I am usually paralyzed so it wouldn't matter anyways.

Yeah I see myself in third person all the time in my dres but that time when I looked at myself third person me turned and looked at first person me (if that makes sense).

I'm often incapable of seeing myself in a dream. It simply doesn't seem to happen much (no reflections or anything). I can, however, see 3rd person pretty often, those dream people aren't me though.

I've bumped into "myself" a few times over the years, but my most interesting encounter occurred some years ago at the end of a long LD:

I had just finished touring a large Coloseum-like empty stadium, and was zooming along through the air a few feet above a row of seats, remembering that I had to wake up soon to make it to my next class. Perhaps with that thought, I noticed an oddly familiar figure lying among the seats just ahead. I hovered above it for a look, and was surprised to see that it was me, lying in my college dorm bunk, asleep (where it actually was, in waking-life), and wearing exactly the clothes I was wearing in waking-life that day.

For really no reason, I suddenly decided that I had to be "back" in that body below me, and right away. Trouble was, I couldn't do it! First I had to struggle mightily just to descend the three feet down to my body, but once there I found there was no way back in! I tried lying on top of myself, willing myself in, even flapping my arms to push myself in. Nothing worked. Though still quite lucid, I was beginning to panic, and couldn't tear myself from the feeling that I had to be back in that mere image of myself down there (even considering that thought didn't help). I was saved by the bell, though, as my waking-life alarm clock brought me back to reality, still rattled but much relieved -- my first thought was that, had that alarm not sounded, I'd be floating around my unresponsive body forever (my second thought was that that first thought was very silly).

Full disclosure: I just realized that this might not count, because when I'm lucid I don't tend to have a dream body, and didn't then... so I guess, literally speaking, I wasn't seeing another DC "me," but the only DC "me." I'll leave the post up though, if only to justify all this typing!

I've had some experiences where I've seen myself in a mirror and my face would morph slightly. I also have had 2 experiences where I've wanted to meet my unconscious self and what came to me was an identical DC me. On the first experience I had I was quite happy to see this other self so I started bowling with myself, I noticed that this other self was left handed where I am actually right handed. On the other experience I had I expected/willed my unconscious to walk in through the door of my room and I suddenly see the door opening and myself coming towards me, I woke as soon as myself reached me =)

A while back, not too long after joining DV and after doing some exercises where I visualize looking back at myself from various angles during the day, I had such a dream. I became lucid seeing myself directly in front of me staring right back at myself. I was standing on a sports field doing some moves and then was confronted with myself! It made me lucid but then immediately woke me up.

I wish I have. I have never once seen myself in a dream. It is like I am somebody else, with a different name. Or like I am a ghost, just sitting by closely and watching it unfold.

In a recent dream, I was at my old house I grew up. I was grabbing something from someone's car at night time. And just as I was about to head back into the house, I stopped just before stepping onto the porch. I sensed to turn around so when I did I saw myself sitting in the passenger seat of the car, hoody sort of covering my face and I smirked. The me on the porch just stared for a moment and then I went back inside//woke up.

some times i think it's my dead twin and their soul still attached
