So, My brother died a few weeks ago. My family has been getting some signs from him we believe. My sister took these pictures and believe there are spirit orbs in them. I on the other hand think the orbs are the sun reflecting off of the camera lens. Let me know your opinions and if you have an explanation on how the sun could and would reflect off the lens. Is your camera lens dirty? Was it cleaned recently? Also, I think if your brother really wanted to make his presence known, then he would make those orbs appear in pictures taken inside of your house instead of randomly in the sky outside. :)
Yeah, looks to me like lens flare. It's cause by the bending of the light by the shape of the camera lens, and it's fairly common when taking pictures near the sun.

She took the pictures of the sky because it reminded her of something from when he was sick. But I agree they are probably reflections from the sun. And we have been taking a few pictures from inside the house, no luck :(. We have had signs though, if interested i will tell, if not i wont :)

The day he died i was in the kitchen cooking dinner ( he died at 3:30 am and it was close to 7:30 pm when i was cooking). While he was alive we cooked dinner together literally almost everynight. Well i was there making hamburger patties the way he showed me how and thinking about him. Then the lights started flickering in the kitchen for a few minutes. I had never seen them do that before or since then so i thought it was weird.
A few days later i was in the kitchen again thinking about him and the lights so i decided to test my luck. So i looked up at the lights and, it sounds funny to say, started mocking them, telling them to flicker again if it was him. Well the lights didnt flicker but as i was saying it a box in the other room fell off a shelf and no one else was around. My dog ran in there and i walked upstairs kinda spooked. The dog finally came upstairs and i was talking to my mom when he ran back down there and stayed for a few minutes.
About 5 days ago my mom was babysitting my nephew who is 3. While she was there she said he came over to her and said James (my brother) was going to come watch him play soccer the next day. My mom tried to ask him a question about it but my niece started crying and couldnt get an answer. The next day when he got home from soccer, my sister (his mom) was crying, just upset about my brother dieing. My nephew went over to her and started repeating my brothers name a few times. The out of nowhere he said James' throat was hurting him.
At the end of his life my brother was on a ventilator but my nephew never saw him on it. And i could see someones throat getting pretty dry and sore on one of those things. I mean this could all just be a series of coincidences and maybe my nephew was just imagining or thinking my brother was there, i dont know. There have been other smaller ones but those two are the ones that stick out for me. Any thoughts on any of this?

Bosco, I think you may want to know that I am a professional photographer with many years of experience, I am also very technical and study stuff like ufology. I don't pretend to debunk the pictures or disbelief anyone but only give my personal opinion about this.
Said that, I hardly think this are orbs.
This appears to be an optical phenomenon called lens flare and is very, very common when one point the camera to the sun directly or almost directly to the sun. Just Google for image :lens flare ; and you will get tons of examples.
In fact, lens flare are soo common and also soo mystified that are considered a major misleading phenomenon not only on paranormal research but also in ufology.
Something very similar to lens flare are pictures of bright spots in a dark background with the camera unfocused, like pictures of lights of airplanes or stars. The resulting effect is something very very similar to orbs.
So in my opinion this are not any kind of signals of the beloved dead one, but that doesn't mean he/she is not thinking on you or even trying to communicate. In fact I do believe in life after death, but I guess the best thing the family should do is face the fact that he is gone, there is another journey waiting for him in the other side and we love them we must let them go, if the family keep sad it is very probable that the spirit of the deceased will feel that sadness too and maybe much more then living ones do.

I believe that rarely a coincidence is just a coincidence, that said I believe something is really going on, however as I previously suggested, in any case the best thing to do, is to let go. Make a prayer for him, telling how much all of you love him and how much you will miss him, but the most important is that he have a new journey to make and he is free and encouraged to do it and finally that you will see each other in the future.
If it's true, I think it's much more easier for your deceased brother to comunicate with you be talking to your mind and feelings than producing paranormal phenomena like boxes moving or bulbs flikering. So if you can try to relax concentrate and become sensitive to your feelings and if something is coming into your "feelings" to comunicate something, pay a lot of atention to what is you, and what is your imagination, you may find something, I can't say for sure
I'm sorry to hear about your brother Bosco. I have to say though, I think these are merely coincidences. You were asking for a scientific explanation of these phenomena but no one here, save for the people responding to your lens flare inquiry, are providing you with any sort of scientific explanation whatsoever. You are free to believe what you wish, but scientifically none of these coincidences can be proven to be a spirit, ghost, or anything other than strange occurrences that all took place during a time where your mind was searching for meaning and connections. Is it really a surprise to you that you found what you were looking for in the first place? Coincidences are well documented as happening and most of the time being nothing more, they seem to happen especially when you are looking for a connection to be there. I believe it would be healthy for you to let things go and to try and move on from your great loss. Again, my condolences to you and your family.
