okay when your laying there and you go into sleep paralysis..you have a choice. you can keep going deeper into it "pass thru the gate" or choose to fight it and break out of it. I want to find out what the "deeper" part of it is.

Are you talking about choosing between WILD & la ciencia ficcions?

Sounds to me like SP (Sleep Paralysis). This is what happens during REM, but you can wake up/go to sleep having SP.

You'd likely WILD, or you could wake up! It is possible that ....... could happen, but unless you have already had one, it probably won't!

AAAAARGH!!! nesgirl ! thou shalt die violently for uttering the forbidden heresay!

If you decide to go along for the ride, you are very likely to experience WILD. If, as you say, you experience SP upon waking up, you may easily execute "dream reentry" technique thus quickly slipping in a dream without WILD onset.

I found 3 ways to go "along for a ride"
-natural onset - total lack of any action on your part, just observing the reentry. I had few experiences with this type of onset. This kind of WILD results in experiences that are very OBEish / NDEish . ( you will float out of your body or fall through the bed, etc)

-controlled onset - you observe the onset, but take some kind of action ( like counting, filtering out and resisting the accompanying hallucinations, etc) . This kind of onset is the most common (at least for me) and results in a series of HI images followed by appearance in a random dream.

-forced onset - I can remember one quite recent attempt at this, maybe I did something like this before. Basically you force yourself out of your body. Results in very odd and messed up experience.

LOL, & I fixed that!! What is so bad about using a forbidden term in Spanish? Nothing is against that.....
Like he said from that point, you will probably experience WILD. I have always found 2 ways to do it....follow the dream imagery into a LD, or sit up & walk away in a ..............la ciencia ficcion......
