      Espsika Meditation Experiences

Hello friends; I started meditation today and i thought it will be wise to write my experiences down as i meditate. I intend to meditate for at least thirty minutes a day and at most one hour thirty minutes.
My goals are: opening my third eye and getting to the fifteenth level of perfection (enlightenment).
      My mantra is: Jesus
Duration is: at least thirty minutes and at most one hour thirty minutes.
My experiences: I fall asleep occasionally, I sweat as if I slept and my attention drifts away occasionally.

Sweating is good, sweating rids the body of toxins.

I meditated at 22:30 for 30 minutes before retiring to bed. I meditated at 04:30 after staying awake from 04:00. I lay down on my back, my face facing up, to WILD. but found out that i was tired. i just lay on my side and meditated which ended up in sleep. i intend to meditate maintaining my meditation posture/position and duration henceforth.
Next meditation is at 14:30 for 30 minutes. So, i meditate three times (30 minutes each) in 24 hours. i must meditate at least once in 24 hours.

My mantra seemed short and intangible, kind of. but feeling the word and resting on it feels different.

I'm not a master at lucid dreaming or meditating, but I have noticed a recurring theme among both techniques: persistence. Stuff like lucid dreaming takes a few weeks to months of sticking at it to have success, and it may be the same case for meditating as well. Keep at it brother, and don't let yourself get discouraged!

I could clarify how meditation should be. You put thread title as meditation experiences. In meditation there ocassionally can experience something weird. You shouldnt except anything when meditating. There is also wrong way to meditate and you could be just wasting your time if dont do it right.
So the idea is simply to get to this stage of mind where you have not a single thought. You just sit in complete silence without any thought. You cant except anything or want do anything in that state. You just have to completely give yourself the 10 minutes to absolutely not doing anything physically of mentally.
The experiences will come in time. 30 minutes seems too long for a beginner to meditate. I have frequently meditated maybe 2 years the right way and i still hardly can stay in medatitive state more than 15 minutes.
Here is how you do it. Do this is as if you really mean it. Not half assed way.
First take few deep breaths and calm yourself down. Now say to yourself that you are going to give yourself 10 min of time without any activity in your mind.
Take a meditative position and close your eyes. Now focus at your breath and take a breath in and look if you have any thoughts. Then breath out and let that thought go. Do this as long until there isnt a single thought in your mind. Dont focus anything else besides your breath and thoughts at this point. Once you realize that your mind is completely calm then just relax and stay in that state. If thoughts start coming back reconize them and let them go. When you have reached to this thoughtless state you are meditating the right way. Once your thoughts come back and you lose this meditative state your done. If you cant get back to this state its useless to meditate any longer. Only the stage where not a single thought is appearing is what actually what is medative state that counts. Once you notice your thoughts coming back stay calm listen to sounds you hear, feel the sensations in your body and then calmy open your eyes and look around. Then get up and enjoy the clarity of you mind. Do it excatly as i said and you wont feel that you arent doing it right since it obvious to you what it truly means to meditate. You also need to start meditation like you dont care anything else at the moment but the moment of meditation that way you should have good results. As for experiences you will experience alternative states of mind which could be compared to drugs you also get these ocassional relazations of certain things.

I have experienced few times this complete clarity of thought where i felt like i was complete. There was no confusion or need to do anything everything was just solved in my head. It was really freeing experience and i wish i could have that clarity of mind forever. Many people dont know this but meditation is so much more than just becoming calm and focused. After a really good meditation session you should see how riduluous your every worry, thought and problem is. You just see them as they are and you will feel moment of complete peace. That why i meditate i want to reach that state permenatly.
The thing is even if you start to meditate for real at some point you realize how stupid everything you think you want actually is. You will realize the only thing you want is that peace and enjoy everything. So it doesnt matter what your reason for meditation is. It really is that powerfull because our mind is so stupid that it get confused and messed up until you solve them by on problem at time or drop all of them trough meditation. That is for motivation. Its shame that people never seem to listen when it comes to meditation because it takes only maybe 15 min of day and it make you just enjoy life as it is without constant confusion what you want or dont want from life.

You put you goal enlightment. Enlightment happens when you completely stop the act of mind and become who you truly are without any single attachment to you. I still am nowhere near but maybe thats my goal also.

That is what you said and i have a question for you. because am a little bit confused. from what you said, meditation is total silence. what do have to say about Chakra meditation (third eye)? thank you in advance.

I am taking Seltiez advise. as a result, am changing my mantra to non, that is silencing the mind to the point of no thought.

I dont want to say anything about chakras since i dont have any beliefs or understanding on that subject. I know basic idea of it but i havent really looked into it that well but i dont meditate from the books. I just meditate the way i know.
I think its first important learn to be in that silence because when you observe in that state its thoughtless thinking. Meditation doesnt requires you doing anything.

In chakras there might be some truth to it but it is beyond my understanding. Meditation is like you letting go all of the friction in your mind and allow you wordless thinking do the job. What i mean by it is unsconsciouss or the silent thinking. Even though you stop thinking with words your mind is still very active and thinking in much more efficent way. So you get to that meditative state how i told you. Before you do chakra meditation you should know how to just how to meditate. You should have very silent and calm mind after meditation if you did it correctly.

Did these came to you mind when you were meditating? If so it could be good sign. You are reconizing thoughts. Usually when you meditate you notice each thought which bring you discomfort. If you keep consertating long enough you might get to the core of these negative thoughts and accept them. Then the silence happens. Just remember dont give up when you start to get all these thoughts and distraction it means your close to accepting them. Dont stop. Many people run away these thoughts but in meditation the hardest question come to surface and you have to clear them up to gain that sense of peace.

Partially, the thought came in form of discouragement "there is noise, you cant continue. and i said i cant give up either. i just have to accept things the way they are and then wait for perfect condition". Then other similar thoughts followed.
i have not being meditating from Saturday night to this time (Monday morning). i will resume by 14:45.
from your advise, and as i said earlier. i meditate for ten minutes each time at 22:45, 03:05, 03:30, 05:50, 11:05, 14:45, and 19:05. i might miss others but that before and after sleep has come to stay, is now a habit.
