Thread: Asking God for Something

Going and committing suicide is not normal. : o Sometimes I pray to God in my lucid dreams too. Its a great thing that your praying for God to help you in your time of need. When something in life was bothering me i would always pray and do my best to make things better. One of them being, changing certain things in my daily routine and it helped me a lot. What about life makes you so sick and tired? Have you talked to someone close to you about it? Its always best to talk to someone who you know that is understanding. Those who are older,(more experienced in life)and positive can be helpful too. :3

"Don't make a permanent decision for your temporary emotion". Saw that online today. Stay here man. Things always get better as you make an effort to fix them.

I know this because last year I was going through the worst time of my life. I had really bad anxiety attacks and depression. Just looking at the furniture at my room during this time period made me want to kill myself. Long story short, I prayed to God to fix it, and the instant I did He fixed my depression and anxiety. Looking back at it now, you can fix alot by changing your attitude towards whatever it is. Even for emotions/feelings. Whatever you put your focus and energy into, is what manifests. Manifest the positive man. You weren't brought this far just too quit bro. God gives the hardest battles to His strongest soldiers. When you make it past this you will be a heck of a lot more mentally stronger.

People dont commit atrocities in their right senses. Of course i have many things to thank God for. My plans are not just working out and my expectations are not forthcoming. and these fustrates me.

Yesterday i was very tired to hold on to my intention, attention, my mantra "Almighty God give me your spirit". I noticed that whenever its around 9 to 10pm i get tired and sleepy even without doing anything serious during the day. i think my poor feeding habit is responsible for this. i will correct that by feeding well and by being outside, around 9 t0 10pm. i sleep at 11pm.

Your welcome and thx for explaining. I understand what you mean now.It can be hard when things don't go the way you hoped it would but the best thing to do is to keep moving forward and not let the set backs tear us down. You can even reevaluate your plans and make it more sensible.Which I can see you are doing from what you wrote.: )

Its good to know that you plan on changing the poor feeding habit you have. Little changes can make a big difference. :3

Scientifically speaking, a poor feeding habit is actually pretty bad for you. Not eating right could cause emotional instability and affect brain function in a number of ways. When I used to skip breakfast completely each morning, I not only found myself extremely tired but also agitated and my mental stamina was dropped to such a low level that I didn't want to do anything but sleep. Avoiding carbs has the same effect because your brain needs carbohydrates to function properly. Eat right and I'm sure it will help out not only how you feel, but also your over all health man. Also, get some sun. When you expose yourself to sunlight your brain starts to produce more serotonin which helps fight depression and feelings of sadness. If you fix your eating habits you will notice a MAJOR difference in your daily overall performance throughout the day. I wish the best for you, your plans, and your expectations man.

Espsika, I don't know you but I love you...life gets hard as hell and I too have wondered is it worth it? But GOD has a purpose for each and everyone one of us. Sometimes it get so damn frustrating I don't want to get out of bed in the morning. Then I think to myself that I'm glad I can get out of bed because somebody found out they wouldn't be able to ever walk again today. I am blessed with what some would think is a mundane life, but to me my life is a gift...and so is yours ! Use your gift and don't destroy it. You are no good to anyone by committing suicide, not even to yourself. Please believe that you are not alone and you will get through whatever situation you are going through because trouble never last always. Stay encouraged!

bloke, i understand how you feel better then most on this earth, but killing your self is not bold at all, and god wants you to be bold. seriously.... how stupid can you be? knowing what i know, i know i can connect more with god through lucid dreaming cause i learnt its possibly not i who makes the grass green chin up bloke chin up and be proud of who you are

After reflections on my past life, i said to myself that the suicide that i must commit is that of living the good life that i have imagined; the life of amazement, the life that radiates the glory of Almighty God. Thats the suicide i have decided to commit, nothing can stop me except Almighty God.
Yesterday i slept very late at 11:51pm i was excited and distracted i founded it a little difficult to sleep with my mantra "Almighty God give me your spirit" on my mind. At dawn i remebered fragments of my dreams which i didnt pen down. To me yesterday was a failiure more effort today. thank you once again fellow Oneironauts.

Thank you Ebbtide000. I like poems and i write poems or would i say am a poet. I wrote this poem that am about to post now out of frustration. i discovered that poems have a way of lifting away the emotional load within, it reminds me of my past mistakes and gives me the courage to soldier on.

Hello friends;
I slept around 1am today because I was busy that I couldn’t sleep at 11pm (my bed time). On lying down with the intention of becoming lucid. I noticed the transitioning into dream. It wasn’t scary because I am kind of used to it but the scene was scary. I felt as if am in an ocean, darkness all around me I was floating from top to bottom. I felt the sensation that I was still lying down. I tried changing the scene but could not. And the fear of falling to somewhere I will never get out from consumed me that made me to forget my goal. i woke up and it was 25 minutes past 1am (20 to 25 minutes later) In waking life, I take dreams for granted but while dreaming, it’s overwhelming

Epsika, if you would like to explain your current life problems I would be happy to try to give you some advices. It happened that until a few months ago I was seriously devoured by some life problems (university, socialization issues, but mostly the lack of pure freedom... ). Just facing problems is a good thing, and solutions aren't always actions.

I don't know, do you feel bad because you aren't being able to achieve the objectives you stated for you? Maybe you've choiced the wrong ambition due to the wrong causes.
For an exemple I was overwhelmed by thinking about what others could think about me, and so I always thinking in my head about how to be the best, artistically, scientifically, even socially... but I often failed because I directed myself to things I didn't really want, I was just trying to adhere to the image of successful society shows.

I'm no expert here, but this statement you made is crippling in a dream AND in life. I'm sure you have already heard this before but thinking positive all day and specially before you go to bed is really helpful for me. I don't entertain negative thoughts at all. My natural optimism can be stopped to a halt if I allow negativity (especially) fear to come into any of my waking and sleeping thoughts. If you believe in GOD, you already know fear does not come from him. Be bold and demand peace while you are awake and while you are sleep. Also, I think it is important to ask yourself the question, "What is it that I want?" Do you know the answer to this? Now I'm asking you, "What is it that you want?" Only you can answer this question and if you can't, well...that is something you need to work on.

Most of all you have to believe that you have the power. I know that sounds corny but it is true. If you don't believe how powerful you are and what strengths you have in this world, (I'm no expert but) I don't think it will filter into the dream world. In essence, if you are weak minded in RL, do you think that this could filter its way into dream life? You have control...TAKE IT!

Just my two cents, but I hope you get something positive out of it.

I am a graduate. That have served (NYSC) past out on the 16 of Oct. 2014. I planned that I will save as much money as I possibly can, after my service year I will buy a Laptop, invest as much money as I can in foreign exchange and then use the reminder to get internet connection and to stay connected for as long as the remaining money will take me. These I have achieved but my expectation in foreign exchange were false. I have six months of foreign exchange experience and more knowledge and it dawned on me that I need more investment capital to invest for a living.
The only thing that keeps reinforcing my frustration is that my bank account is red which means I can no longer stay connected to do my business. I am no longer a student nobody will send me money, even as a student it was so difficult for my family to send me money because I am from a humble family (poor family). This is the source of my poor feeding habit; I spend so little on food to be able to feed for a long time before the next money comes. Now that I have seen a way out of my financial misery my account is almost red. Is this gonna slip off my finger?

Well, I've not faced your same problems so and I'm very sorry for your situation. So basically your problem is you've not enough money, right?
Since you're graduated, haven't you been able to find a job?
You could really have many valid reasons why not: nowaday there's not so much offer, maybe you also don't want to do a job you're not passionate about, I really understand this.
My only advice is to find, first, a job to survive (I know, it's an ugly term) then from here try to move to the lifestyle you really desire. So, is foreign exchange haven't worked, change route.

This is just the opinion by someone who has never met you and lives far away by the way.

Thank you Synergeon; Am a Nigerian, we the Biafrans (East of Nigeria) refer to it as the Zeological Republic where loathing, bribery and corruption is the order of the day. i never intended looking for a job, job will look for me or i create mine instead. I dont have a plan B because there will always be a plan B when A is no more
Six months of experience in Foreign exchang is invaluable to me.

I am soft hearted, i tend to focus more on failure than success which keeps me on mood swing.

I had an intense desire to have sex, and that disrupted my sleep routine. I promised God that until i get married i will never have sex. the urge was so strong that i was disturbed to the extreme. i reminded God of my promises to him, i prayed and i reminded him of his words that says that ...am a Camel trying to pass through the eye of a needle (Mat 19:24), which is impossible with me but with him everything is possible. i never knew when i slept off and i woke up with a dream that showed me my wife to be. i tried to remember her looks but couldn't. the only thing i think i remember was the color of her skin; she is fair.

My ideology is from Exodus 33:20. I want to see God’s spirit in a dream because no one can see him in waking life and live.

I have not been visiting this thead/website for sometime now because i am too busy. I have finally gotten a job, thank God, be happy for me and thank you as you do so.
this thread still continues i am coming back on tuesday, 13th with full force to achieve the goals of this thread which is "asking God for something via LD" with the prevailing situation in my country, i have to do this to develope, protect and save my loved ones from dying in the hands of Hausa Fulani
