      Welcome to Lucid City

Lucid City is a persistently existing futuristic city existing on the dream version of Earth on a synthetic island floating in the tropics of the Pacific Ocean. The purpose of Lucid City is to be a hub for dreamwalkers, those who want to share dreams with others. You may take up residence there, and create a living for yourself, become a shopkeeper, a thief, a police officer, a smuggler or any profession you choose. The idea is to stay in one place of work, residence, or leisure for a long time to prolong the dream.

How to move to Lucid City:

We all live in simple, beautiful apartments in a large circular apartment building with a courtyard at the bottom, and food gardens on all levels. In your apartment is a bed, a holograpic AI computer terminal in one corner, and a shrine with a large mirror in another corner. There is a door leading out of your apartment into the main hallway, and a sliding glass door behind a curtain opening to the large garden that wraps around all the apartments.

      1. Visualize your room in Lucid City in great detail. Imagine what the bed feels like, what the incense burning in your shrine smells like, what the avatar of the AI looks and sounds like. Imagine yourself slowly walking around the room, touching things.

      WILD:
As you fall asleep, pretend you are falling asleep in your bed in Lucid City, and visualize your dream room all around you. When you feel SP kick in, try to actually sit up. If you are in SP, and a deep enough sleep, your dream body will sit up in your bed in Lucid City. If you do actually move, just relax longer. Another technique is to try to roll out of bed after SP kicks in. (These techniques may also induce OBE's.)

      DILD:
Door: walk through a door, and will your Lucid City room to be on the other side.
Mirror: Walk through a mirror, into your room.

I will be posting Lucid City tasks in the IODSP forum.

I am on it Sir Baking "courageous" Nomad. Still on my mind since yesterday. I've talked about it at school. And imagined it, once more. In fact, the vision is in front of my mind right meow. I'm still a shitty dreamer so.. Things are slow.

Awww man, I almost did it tonight! 2morrow better luck.

I searched for a way to get the dream to become this appartment. I spent a good 30 minutes in my dream doing this but my dream control failed. After all these years , if I manage to make a scene like that this would be the single most impressive dream control that I managed to exert. It's like when I searched for the Green Moon. I looked in all the wrong places. But I remember in the dream just before waking up that I should just use a mirror and move through it. Since mirrors are inherently quite fluid and portal-like, that must work. I did not remember ur instructions, I tried closing my eyes and stuff but my intent/expectation ratio certainly is not powerful enough. My knowledge is schemas is also lacking.

But, I almost made it. Yarrr!

I'm dreaming in my home-town and trying to get to Lucid City. I kept getting frustrating that my techniques aren't working. I try to fall through the ground and I manage to get into another version of my hometown. I imagined the city quite vividly, it looks to me like a very white, light colours, very clean looking and quite shiny tall buildings. I thought I saw it in my mind, but now I think about it I saw it as an island just outside my current dream.. Think flying distance.

At some point I just sat down, did nothing and felt my environment. I felt and saw things moving close to me. It did not interest me very much.

Instead of posting tasks in the IODSP forum, I am incorporating Lucid City into the Shared Dream RPG: LUCID URTH.
