Astral Projection/Spiritual & God

Hey everyone, hope I have posted this thread in the correct place.

Okay so I have recently learned about astral projection after experiencing a few lucid dreams and have tried twice to get there but failed, however tonight I think I experienced it but I'm not 100% sure?

So I was listening to a 6hr bb sleep video on youtube I wasn't attempting to achieve anything by this, I was purely just listening because I find it relaxing ha. Anyway I was tossing and turning in my sleep and kept on waking up every hour or so, then all of a sudden I felt a type of burning sensation of pain in my chest and then I felt my body raising towards the sky/heavens and I automatically knew and felt that "God" was taking me away. (I am a atheist). I felt (didn't hear out loud) myself say to god "I'm not ready" I was feeling pain and remorse, I was scared at this moment. Then eventually I felt my body lower and return.

I woke up and was in SP, my automatic response was like f*** this especially after what i just experienced so I tried to move. I then stopped and calmed down and attempted to AP so I imagined a new set of arms and body and I felt myself roll off the side of my bed. Then I shot up to the ceiling like a ghost or something and floated out of my room to the living room and attempted to go through the windows to go outside. (I was thinking at the time, holy sh** I'm AP I want to be outside ha). It kept on blocking me I wasn't allowed to go through them. Then my family members walked in and sat down and started chatting, 1 sat right infront of me and this is when I no longer felt like a floating ghost but an invisible body. Anyway 2 of them were leaving the house and I walked behind them because I was desperate to go outside. We exited my flat door, then they opened the main door and I walked outside 3-4 steps saw everything, then it all ended and I was back in my bed, eyes closed, knew and understood I was back to "reality" and called it a night then haha.

So that's my little experience I just had and wanted to share and hopefully get some feedback from you guys!

I remember my first accidentally induced OBE... Floating up from my body, the view went fully spherical, I saw myself as very dark ball with dark blueviolet light protuberances on the surface... And I was observing my surroundings till my first thought came- I'm dying! I was back to my body so fast :D I found that I didn't breathe, nor that I feel need for that, or that my heart is beating really slow. It took me a few minutes and I lost fear and tried to repeat the feat.
I had some OBEs before this one, but they were spontaneous, when I was seriously ill, like asthma once(slow suffocation) or high fever a few times. But I didn't have fear then.

Once you start to do them the only emotion will be joy, but you will need to tone it down, strong emotion disturb experience.

Hey, yeah I didn't breathe or feel the need to either ha. Hopefully I have more adventurous OBEs soon, twice now iv'e had interactions with what I felt and believed was "God" communicating with me. However I have recently been reading up on religion, so that's probably the connection right there.

Just be critic and skeptic about what you experience. Your subconscious part can mess with things pretty much. I met Christ, some devils, angels, vampires,etc... but nothing of this requires belief. Also there is no proof that they were real, even if they felt so. It is very bad to start to believe in imagination, to believe for it to be real thing.

Appreciate the feedback Psionik, yeah I told my friend what I experienced and he said perhaps it's just purely your imagine. Whatever it was, still a awesome experience/feeling ;-)

Yeah. Try to have more of OBEs try to find your reactions, to understand your consciousness, to reach beyond your boundaries. As I said, belief is not necessary for this, moreover, it can influence it wrong way. Try to be unattached observer first. Things you will find are not necessary truth, buth there can be connection between OBE to higher realities and this physical reality. I have a few of such small proofs, even if they are only private proofs. It is too unreliable for proving it to larger world by myself...

Any tips or threads on the forum on how to reach SP easily? That's the only way I've had a OBE before.

Nothing is for free, what is easier for one person is for other very difficult.
You may try my method of relaxation. Well, I modified Schultz autogenic training a little when I was trying to find best way for making OBE.
a) Relaxation of striated muscles- I concentrate on weight of my hand, I feel it and I make that feeling as strong as possible, and again stronger. I let that feeling of weight progress through whole body. When all my body feels heavy, I concentrate on deepening of that feeling... This relax skeletal striated muscles.
b) Relaxation of smooth muscles- Concentration on warmth in my hand. It feels like I have my hand in warm water, and water is warmer and warmer... liquid fire in my hand. Very pleasant and very hot. I let that liquid fire flow up my hand to other hand, and when my hands are warm, I let that warmth flow to my feet... At last I let spiral that warmth from my hands and legs into solar plexus. Now, I don't do it because of third chakra, but because warmth leads to relaxation of smooth muscle tissue of digestive tract.

You have to concentrate on your body, making good use of feedback loop to make feelings stronger. Don't think. Feel. Concentrate on feeling. Stay in that state as long as possible- but don't force it if you start to feel restless and you can't turn off that restlessness.

When you feel your body unresponsive(sleep paralysis) it is only illusion and you can make it more profound. And you can use this state to send impulses for rolling movement of your hand. At the same time you have to let your muscles relaxed. If you are in right state of mind, you will start to feel like something is moving. That something is like second hand surrounding physical one. You have to make the movements of that second hand more distinct, further away from your body. You can use this second astral hand to pull yourself out of bode completely. Or when you have feeling of astral hand then you should be able to feel second body too. You can roll out of your body without pulling yourself without help of your hand when you feel that second body and physical one is deeply relaxed...

If you don't try to go out of your body, after longer time, your consciousness will stop to register your body altogether... and you will slip into meditation. Bodyless and thoughtless... pure being.

You may try also one trick- make a bath and relax in it. When you will want to go out of bathtub, don't stand up but pull a plug of bathtub a little, so the water will flow out of bath very slowly. And relax. The water will slowly flow out and your body will be supported by it less and less. You will feel the weight gain... Just relax and feel the weight of your body. Again, don't think. Feel and remember that feeling. Then every time you are going to relax try to remember the feeling how your body went heavier and heavier in bathtub.

Thanks for the detailed response. Iv'e been trying the past couple of nights to do this by relaxing and listening to binural beats. Its difficult for me at the moment to completely relax and not to think too much, think im just too excited and concentrating too hard. I have managed to feel warm sensations in my physical hands and felt both my astral hands move up and down slowly, I also felt my left hand raise when I inhaled and my right raise when exhaling for about 3 minutes. That was a pretty cool relaxing moment. It's all very new to me at the moment, Im sure i'll get better with more practice and experience ;-)

Maybe it will be better to be in silence. I found binaural sounds disturbing. Concentration has to be aimed to body feelings.

What works for me really well is the feeling of rocking forward and backward farther and farther till eventually you will rock so far that you just detatch or can roll out sideways with ease. After I got that down I found one that works even easier for me. I focus on the feeling of gravity like you're hanging upside down where the pressure is at the top of my head pulling downwards and just slide or fall right out the top of my head after encouraging it for a little. I've found that it's best to do it when your body is ready to be or already really relaxed.
