      Really creepy idea

I had a really messed up idea but when encountering sleep paralysis, what if you could turn it from something scary to something sexual? Like instead of the intruder there to kill you, it's there to fuck you. I read about how SP can be based on your expectations and if you expect to see scary entities, that's what you'll see but if you stay calm and expect benevolent entities then that's what you'll see instead. So maybe if you try expect a sexual encounter, it could work?
Sorry I'm really not experienced with this stuff. Still haven't attained lucidity yet.

I feel like people might think it's creepy that I'm actually wanting to induce rape in my SP

Lol that was funny. I myself have often thought about this switch of expectation in the past when experiencing fear. As far as SP goes, i don't know, but there is a chance this would work.

Well... I mean... I do this * cough* almost everytime *cough*. But not in a rape kinda way, just turning it into a s3xual experience . It is a rather effective way to get rid off the spooky figures and the paralysis and turning it into an enjoyable LD. Nothing creepy about the idea.

How do you do that? I can't seem to find anything on this anywhere on lucid dreaming forums.

Interesting idea. I don't think it's creepy. I would certainly rather have a sexual encounter than a scary one. I've never had sleep paralysis, but I've literally shot out of bed like a rocket from being scared out of my mind by unusually vivid hypnagogic hallucinations. I actually hurt myself doing that once. LOL. It was rather awkward explaining to the doctor how I hurt my wrist!

I used to struggle with my low level lucid dreams always taking a sexual turn. It got really annoying actually, because it seemed like my baser self would take over when my awareness was too low to overcome that urge. But I say, why not let that natural urge improve your sleep paralysis experiences?!

Sexual SP encounters are quite common and were called Inkubus and Succubus.
I neither let myself be attacked OR fucked in SP, anyways

I'v gotten used to the paralysis because it has occured so many times to me. So now when the paralysis happens ofc there's still the first " OMG! " - panic realization, but it lasts only 2-5 seconds anymore. This is because now I have associated the inability to move with the inevitable and desired s3xual encounter, usually with a mysterious dark figure. And again... I mean...

Spoiler for DANG IT! I feel like fryingman telling this :D:

So I think you could try expect the paralysis ( you will first experience fear because you're unable to move, but you quickly regain your rational thought ) to mean that something wonderful is going to happen instead of scary. SPs are still really rare and they're not a part of any technique out there, not even the WILD, so you shouldn't aim to achieve them anyways. But if they happen, then try to realize it's not going to be scary experience, but a good one. Expectation plays a huge role in SPs, so if you expect to be visited by a beautiful lady, then you probably will be. The scary monster might just turn to the beautiful lady for you.

*Moved to Beyond dreaming, since SP is not part of a WILD

Note: This is a PG13 website. If anybody uses words like f*ck in the on-topics, please put it in spoiler. Or please use alternate word, like sex, making love, humping...

When we are in SP, we can't move. When we are having HH, that's when we can influence them with our expectations or simple thoughts. That's how they can be turned into a pleasant or unpleasant experience. The HH, not the SP.

I've never had any sexual encounters during SP or REM Atonia, but after my first time of getting legitimate SP I loved it and thought it was pretty cool, so I instantly associated SP and REM Atonia with something awesome. I've had countless SP/RA experiences now, and only one of them was scary (well, it wasn't scary so much as it startled me--I got SP once while going back to sleep when I was staying home sick from school several years ago, and suddenly without anticipating it happening, I was stuck in SP and I heard what sounded like a cross between a semi and a train blaring a horn and about to run straight through my wall within less than a second). I second the notion of expectation being paramount in SP/RA experiences.

As a matter of fact, I rarely fail to get into a dream from SP/RA because I "expect" or "know" there is a vortex that acts like a black hole either by my feet or head. I get sucked up into it and within a second or two I am in a lucid dream. Maybe this is a little bit different, but I would personally chalk this ability up to expectation.

Sleep paralysis doesn't entirely work that way. Yes, you can be lucid in sleep paralysis, but your mind is in a different state than a LD. If anything, you're on the verge of astral projection which is entirely different than lucid dreaming. Therefore, it would be nearly impossible to turn sleep paralysis into anything other than the scenario you are being presented with.

When I first started getting sleep paralysis I was very afraid and would feel and hear the presence near me or touching me and so I'd try to think about something else and ended up thinking about sex. And then this "guy" or whatever it was would start touching my privates and it really did feel good but at the same time I was terrified. I really only thought about the sex so they wouldn't hurt me but in the end it felt more like I was being raped and I hated it. I decided to "fight" and I just remember this head biting my thigh and I chucked it at my door... I will never again think about sex when I have sleep paralysis. I was 16 years old when it first started happening and now I get scared when I sleep alone...

Umm... Sleep paralysis is quite easy to break. Just change your breathing pattern, or hold your breath, or just close your eyes. No need to worry about so much stuff during it.

It is much easier for me now but I usually end up astral projecting instead. At first it was really hard and still can be when you feel something touching you or the sound of the door creaking open. It's not easy for me to break the state when my mind constantly thinks about the presence or feeling. This makes it worse like when they ran their fingertip up my spine, which felt incredibly sensitive, almost painful and unbearable. I would not say that sleep paralysis is always easy to break for me but everyone is different.

Have you tried those things to break it? I have yet to meet someone that this doesn't almost immediately break SP (less than 10 seconds)

No, well I've closed my eyes but that doesn't do anything. I'll try the breathing thing if I remember but I only get SP occasionally now. What I've been doing is just leaving my body, which would happen accidentally at first but it seems to be the easiest way for me.
