Hearing your name called out...during waking realiry?

I've heard my name called out before while waking up... But recently while being by myself and with no one around outside I've heard a male voice say my name and at another recent time a female voice say my name. With my mental stuff I already hear voices sometimes but usually not just my name... Just wanted to know if any of you have experienced this. And any opinions on this. Maybe it's just my voices stuff, maybe not?

Hi Oneiroer,

I don't normally hear voices in my head throughout the day. However, I sometimes hear my name called out before I drop into sleep. Most times its a female voice, but there have been times that the voice has been male.

More than a few times, I've heard someone wake me up, by saying something loudly to me (not yelling, but using a louder more clear voice). But, upon waking up, the person is never saying my name. He/she is either telling me to "wake up" or saying random things like "Blue".

I don't know what/who it is, or if its me. But I just wanted to tell you that I also have experienced it. If anyone else could offer insight on what it is, that would be helpful.

(I think i read something before about the voices being echoes of the mind..?)
