Question about Astral projection

Hi :D

So I just found out about astral projection. It cought my attention, so I read tons of articles in the internet about. A lot of articles said that:

- you can see what others are doing but they cant see you
- you can speak to other people that are currently expieriencing astral projection
- after death your astral body still lives on
- you can speak with "dead" people while astral projecting
- some people say there even are demons and angels (hell and heaven)

Well, because I know that not everything what is wrtitten on the internet is true and because I dont believe in God, hell, heaven and so on, it mindf***ed me pretty hard right now.
Basically, I just want to know the opinion of the people in this forum. What do you think about it? Real or just another dream?

This of course is a highly contested issue.

Those experiences which result from using specifically WILD or 'astral projection' oriented methodologies have a intensity and quality unique from typical dream induced lucid dreams in my case. This has led me to consider that they are distinct states, one being internal, the other being more 'objective' in some way. The other interpretation of course would be that wake induced lucid dreams are just more likely to lead to high level LD states, which are more vivid and stable and thus seem to be taking place in a more objective or real environment.

Thomas Campbell, a researcher who worked very closely with Robert Monroe said he was able to validate shared out of body states. The two subjects were in separate sensory deprivation tanks, making it impossible for them to communicate via normal means. A third person, I think it was Monroe himself, was able to hear them via microphones placed within the tanks, the audio only went to the third party and so they were not able to hear each other speaking to Monroe. Also these two subject through years of intense practice and experimentation were able to teach themselves to speak while being out of the body. From what I recall they were able to meet each other while out of the body, go on various adventures, and all the while explain what they were doing point by point. Monroe was amazed when listening, they were describing the same events as the other, even given no possible physical way for them to know what the other was experiencing.

Wow, thanks. At first I thought the same as you did. That APs are just "better" LDs. But after that Thomas Campbell experiment I think its something else. This really caught my interest right now so Im gonna research a bit more, starting off with the experiment and his books/videos.

I guess the only way you will ever know what is true is to learn the practice yourself. I don't see any point in telling you something that you can't comprehend at this point. If you put in the time and practice, I'll be glad to give you pointers from time to time.
