Before I begin I would like to state that this is not easy, at all. Well at least to start. After you get the hang of it, it may come more naturally to some.
A little info on Mutual Dreaming before we begin, shall we?
A mutual dream is a dream in which two conscious entities are existing in the same dream realm. This can happen completely randomly on it's own I've discovered after delving into the world of shared dreams. That "Projection" of your friend you see in your dream may sometimes not be a projection of your subconscious, but actually him or her without you realizing.
How to tell if what your looking at is a subconscious projection or a conscious entity? WELLLLLLLLLL I hope you are more observant of your surroundings in waking life and have become skillful in the way of vibes. Because it relies heavily on such matters. For those of you who are, you are aware of how people you meet in the waking world have a certain energy about them, each persons energy or vibe being different. Some of you may even be able to SEE the energy, and not just feel it. This is relevant because, as you may have already noticed, subconscious projections have a certain vibe about them, yours to be exact. They feel like an extension of you. That being said if you ever experience a projection that feels different from the rest, investigate. A lone conscious entity may have stumbled into your realm. Go find out and make a friend! But more to the point these observing abilities are relevant in properly identifying your target dreamer. Cause guess what's gonna happen if the person you attempt to connect to isn't asleep? You get their subconscious projection. In other words, how their subconscious sees itself and its conscious portion of your targets mind and I will tell you right now, they will be %100 different from your friend (If your target is your friend). Because of this you will need to be able to tell the difference between your subconscious projections, THEIR subconscious projections of themselves, and the real them.
How is all this even possible? There is no definitive scientific answer that I'm aware of. What I do know is that we are all connected not only to the world we live in but each other through certain brainwave frequencies. If you've ever experienced LSD, Psilocybin, DMT, or any other Hallucinogenic substance you can attest to this fact. I feel as though that in a mutual dream, the active dream realm is held within this certain frequency that connects the two dreamers minds. That being said the stronger the connection to your target in your waking life, the better. Spend time with them. Go to the bar, go swimming, be in their presence more often. That will strengthen mental bonds for sure. Now I'm not saying do drugs, but any Psychonaut will tell you that going on a psychedelic adventure with a buddy creates a neigh unbreakable mental bond between the two. Friends and I try to trip together at least 3 or 4 times a year to keep our bond strong, and while this has numerous effects and benefits we're gonna stay focused on how that bond can be used to create mutual dreams between the two. Fun Fact: I'm the only avid lucid dreamer of my friends, so guess who messes with them in their dreams? [;
Now for the fun part! Learning how to DO IT.
Like I said before this will not be easy by any means and results may very. You may accidentally get sucked into their dream, and not yours, limiting your control and abilities. And don't worry this isn't Inception, their subconscious won't try to kill you!
(1) Go lucid. You need to be consciously aware that you're dreaming in order to do this.
(2)This is the hard part. You need to consciously think of the person you want in your dream.*
(3)If after completing step two if you managed to resist the force that's attempting to put you in their dream, manifest (Basic Summoning) the person in your realm.
(4) Check to see if you manifested them, their subconscious, or if you just created your subconscious projection of them. Hard stuff yo!
(5) have fun with your friend or lover
(6) give the person you manifested a codeword or phrase to repeat to you in the waking world, to prove to yourself this is what happened.
Thinking of the person in step 2 will cause your conscious mind to connect to the frequency that most connects you to that person, your private bond so to speak.
*this will be slightly difficult. Have you noticed in your dreams you don't usually have thoughts involving actual words? Just ideas, and fragments of thoughts right? You need to think the word to life. Not aloud. In your mind. Like if you trying to bring your buddy Joe Shinner into your dream, you will need to force your mind to think "Joe Shinner" this is difficult because consciously thinking while in the realm of the subconscious can wake you up. And that's no fun.
Have fun friends!
EDIT: IF YOU GET PULLED INTO THEIR DREAM
You will know. Everytime it happens to me an unstoppable force picks me up into the sky, then sends me into a specific direction. After a short while your dream realm fades to black for a few seconds, and there is a chance you'll wake up if you don't stay calm and focused. Soon, you will appear in front of the person you thought of.
