      Succubus?

About ten years (I may have discussed this previously) ago I had a very bizarre experience. I awoke from sleep, instantaneously out of breath. A split second later I felt like my head was literally injected w something euphoric. In all sincerity, it was bliss. The best analogy I can provide is when I was in ER (for a kidney stone). I was given hydromorphone. It felt almost exactly the same. Next (i was laying on stomach) I immediately felt something slowly massaging my shoulders. I didnt sense fear. It's like fear was magically removed from the equation. After this (I'd guess all this lasted about 10-15 seconds). I passed out.

I awoke standing in room (next day) talking to myself like an idiot. Replying something like '"i acknowledge your presence but just want to be left alone" and "if I'm not left alone, I'll will get others involved".

For the record I am very familiar with sleep apnea (Ive waken up out of breath numerous times, its horrible). However never experienced anything slightly euphoric..or something effing touching me. I also experienced sleep paralysis (for about one year). Auditory hallucinations right before I drifted into unconsciousness. This lasted about one year, then, poof, never came back. This particular experience was very, very different.
Last I've no history of mental illness (I've actually worked in healthcare almost 20 years). Also perhaps worth mentioning I'd somewhat of a 'lover's spat' argument? two days prior. Involving two girls. Consensual and between adults. Unfortunately I can't provide specific details. Sorry, perhaps sounds coy but not happening. Thoughts?

Hm, I don't think it's a succubus, although anything is possible. Sometimes I feel weird things like that, too, when half-asleep. Like a very cold, cold air, and very localized. Like a hand resting on your body. I have no idea why we feel these things. As for the audio - you might have been having a conversation with someone's subconscious while you slept, although I don't know how accurate it is. I just know that there's definitely psychic stuff getting through. Sometimes, we can hear these things and remember them when we wake up. Sometimes.. we can't stop hearing these things. Ugh. The downside of being a light sleeper?

Thanks for feedback. With this particular incident there was no auditory hallucinations. However when I temporarily experienced sleep paralysis (for a couple months) it was
a circus. Some of wiki's symptoms were very accurate. Hearing a strange electrical humming. Along with experiencing a strange electrical sensation in head or body (I've seen others comment this comes first..you just know its comming). It felt like my head was a radio station tuning into different frequencies or random chatter. Very frightening. Along with very quick uncomfortable head spasm (like a mini stroke). Suprisingly some anti stroke medication (like tegretol) has been used to treat sleep paralysis (though I'd have to research topic further).

Anyway I dont think particular incident was sleep paralysis. Though I do suffer from sleep apnea sometimes (or awake with head in pillow). I've just never (once) felt something touching me..or felt severely drugged (edit: this was like the crowned jewel of high's) This doesn't mean it was necessarily something paranormal but something I'll never forget. Perhaps related to stress/anxiety. Makes me wonder. Anyway, thanks again for response.
