About ten years (I may have discussed this previously) ago I had a very bizarre experience. I awoke from sleep, instantaneously out of breath. A split second later I felt like my head was literally injected w something euphoric. In all sincerity, it was bliss. The best analogy I can provide is when I was in ER (for a kidney stone). I was given hydromorphone. It felt almost exactly the same. Next (i was laying on stomach) I immediately felt something slowly massaging my shoulders. I didnt sense fear. It's like fear was magically removed from the equation. After this (I'd guess all this lasted about 10-15 seconds). I passed out.
I awoke standing in room (next day) talking to myself like an idiot. Replying something like '"i acknowledge your presence but just want to be left alone" and "if I'm not left alone, I'll will get others involved".
For the record I am very familiar with sleep apnea (Ive waken up out of breath numerous times, its horrible). However never experienced anything slightly euphoric..or something effing touching me. I also experienced sleep paralysis (for about one year). Auditory hallucinations right before I drifted into unconsciousness. This lasted about one year, then, poof, never came back. This particular experience was very, very different.
Last I've no history of mental illness (I've actually worked in healthcare almost 20 years). Also perhaps worth mentioning I'd somewhat of a 'lover's spat' argument? two days prior. Involving two girls. Consensual and between adults. Unfortunately I can't provide specific details. Sorry, perhaps sounds coy but not happening. Thoughts?
