      Relaxation technique for grounding

I came up with a really great way to deeply relax when going to bed.

If you've ever done self-hypnosis, at the start you perform a body scan to relax each individual body part, for example "beginning with your toes, feel each individual toe relax, now the relaxation spreads up to your feet, your legs, etc" so if you do the body scan until your whole body is relaxed, the way to take it further is to say to yourself "you start to sink down into the bed, becoming heavier and heavier, you are sinking further and further down, through the bed down right down to the ground. You give in to gravity as you start drifting down into the earth, going deeper and deeper."

Use whatever words you like but the basic premise is to allow yourself to sink into the earth for grounding. At which point you sort of lose touch with your body, it's like it just dissolves away and all that's left is your mind and this overwhelming sense of peacefulness all around you.

Give it a shot, let me know your results!

This is exactly what I do when I want to go for a WILD

I do the 61 point relaxation technique (some form of it anyway), where I start my toes and relax each part individually. Then, I imagine sinking into the bed. Sometimes I will imagine free falling, sinking underwater, sinking into the earth, or an elevator going down. I read about it in Robert Bruce's book Astral Dynamics. I hope you are not disappointed that someone else has written about this. :p

It's a great technique, though, and one time I had a WILD just as soon as I imagined the sinking sensation.

Just as an aside, I used this technique 2 nights ago in the middle of the night, after reading this post. I did not get a WILD, but I did have a string of DILDs after.

I did a hypnosis thing last night to relax but, I don't suggest doing it every night.
