i'm so confused.....

I'm so confused...not sure what is a dream and what is reality. Ok, its the first time i've had doubts but its freaky. Basically, I came back from a party last night (drunk, that might had a little to do with it) and decided i would go on the internet for a while. So i took the telehone cable upstairs (where my computer is, since i dont have wireless) with the modem and attached it to my computer. The next thing I know, i am lying on the floor, and next to me is my laptop, on the floor, and the modem has a huge crack running right the way through. I checked my watch, it was 2:30am, so I just moved them onto my desk and climbed into bed, checking my watch one more (still 2:30). In the morning, i was surprised to find the laptop downstairs on the kitchen table, with the modem next to it. No crack whatsoever.

The obvious answer is that the events during the night were a dream. But i'm not so sure. I have never had vivid dreams and i tend to forget them very quickly. It was so realistic, and even now i remember it down to the last detail. Also, the fact that i looked at my watch twice and the numbers didnt change is an obvious sign that it could not have been a dream, but I'm so confused......

What do you all think?

I think that reality checks some times fail in dreams.

Experientially dreams can feel as real as waking life. I have to look at continuity and effects to decide I was dreaming. E.g. even though I ate a delicious feast, I am hungry.

i believe you were dreaming.

checking clocks does not always work.

i had a dream were i thought i woke up in my room. everything was completely realistic. i checked the clock thrice, and it didn't change. i examined everything in the room, and nothing was out of the ordinary. i noticed my stereo display was on (which i sometimes forget to turn off, so it wasn't unnormal).

however, when i woke up the next morning, the stereo was turned off. the power didn't go off (or my digital clock would have been reset), so i KNOW i was dreaming.

it is amazing how accurately our mind can reproduce reality...

i wouldn't worry, it was just a dream.

Yeah!! Checking clocks doesn't usually work. If you check your room, & everything is yet the same, try leaving out a book as a RC. If you read it, & then when you check back, it shouldn't say the same thing, but if it does, it was some sort of realistic weird dream (believe me, I have done this many times).
Here are some excellent objects/places to RC:
Yourself (if you are dressed differently, like in a white robe, then it is a dream)
Your Bed (should be nothing in it, & there could be...so make sure you RC your bed)
Your Feet (be sure you are not flying)
These ones are excellent ones to use. Splash & I do those ones all the time!!

Well if you were real tired you couldve had a very realistic dream. i know when ive just passed out before i was so tired i could clearly recall my dreams.
