      eyes opening?

Last night I went to bed with the TV on, and without any real direction just gave in to whatever my body and mind did without losing conciousness. I kind of had OBE on the mind, but other than that I was just giving in, kinda hoping to fall into a LD. I was concentrating on my "dream eyes" and trying to open them, but I noticed that my eyes were actually opening slowly and involuntarily. I noticed the light from the TV peak in and slowly my left eye would open on it's own ever so slowly, and when it would open completely my right eye would begin to do it. My body felt locked I guess at this point, but that I could move at any moment if I chose to. I could even close my eyes if I chose to, but it felt like there was a little bit of resistance. This happened 3 times, and on the 4th try I tried it looking at the TV but it failed briefly after my eyes cracked open. What was this? Did my eyes actually open?

several times i have been sitting very still listening to music, as i let myself drift to sleep i focused on the sound

as i drifted to sleep my minds eye opened all the way and i was able to see the computer in front of me with my eyes entirely closed and as this happened i suddenly became aware of the music and it jolted me into much more wakeful consciousness.

i think this is what happened to you my friend, either you opened your astral eyes (minds eye) or you opened your dream eyes but thought they were your real ones (ive done that before coming out of a dream)
      Why?
