Thread: Give me the odds (dream co-incidence)

I had a dream, and then saw two things today, that made me say "Hey wait a minute, that's a little closer to everyday life than usual". Read my dream description, what i saw, and then you tell me the odds of two similar situations as such randomly happening within 24 hours.

I am exploring with another when I come across a pit. It is textured like a room from Half-Life single player, except on the other side of the room is a midget. I start leaning out across the pit, and so does he. I am determined to touch his spherical blue hand. Right as we are getting close we both stop because we realize there is something in between us.

It is a clear, circular piece of glass. Suddenly, it spins around and the entire environment has changed. The sphere swept out by the circle is now a snowball, and the room is golden instead of black. Soon, water comes rushing through the recessed area of the floor. The snowball is making quite a disturbance for the rushing water. Soon, the water stops, and we find the snowball has melted.

What reveals is an animal twisted up in a circle. It looks like a Falkor the Luckdragon from the Never Ending Story, the flying dog looking thing. However, instead someone exclaims it's a Golden Beaver. We turn away from it for a while and then my journey companion, my version of Shrek's Donkey, asks why the Golden Beaver is turning black. It's shadow creeps up, and then it morphs shape into a skeleton with a sword and a shield. It walks out of the screen, then the dream ends.[/b]

I start in a hospital ward, in a hall. On the left wall there is a glass panel that goes all the way across the room for people to look. It is almost like it's where they keep all the infants. I also see a midget down the hallway. The lights flip off, and I sense a hamburger on the floor. I pick it up, then wonder if the midget wants it. I fear he is going to come after me, so I take off running at him, then slide down the slick floor to the end of the hallway. I cannot see still, and I start panicking, and wake up.

Then, tonight two things happened. First, I was watching monster garage, and they did an entire build with a team full of midgets on a small 3 wheel car. After that, I was surfing the internet. I came across a link to the winning origami entry. Of course, it was a beaver folded up from a sheet of golden origami paper (Golden Beaver). Didn't look the same in the dream, but close.

Halfway through the Monster Garage episode, an extra midget was added to the team because he was released from his position at his job. Still, two dreams with a midget in one night is still rather improbable on it's own. I did have one dream in between those two, but couldn't recall it because I was preoccupied with the golden beaver dream.
