sleep paralysis happens to you every night, whether or not your conscious of it. |

Has anyone ever experienced sleep paralysis ( similiar to obe's) ? I will write more about this later, but just wanted to mention some of this now. I've experienced many times in the past, I rarely ever experience it anymore. I read that it may help you astral travel easier if you experience this - which sounds positive an interesting. My experience from it was far from a pleasant experience. I can only describe it as feeling paralyzed in your bed, eyes are closed, aware of your surroundings, still awake/ yet half asleep. sometimes you can hear voices near you, yet you can not escape this stage right away. it wears off, but sometimes you can end it sooner. it scared me most how i wasnt able to move during this, or speak. i would only find myself twitching in my bed trying to get out of it ( sounds weird, i know ) and any sound i tried coming out of my mouth sounded as if someone had their hand firmly over my mouth. sometimes i would hear a buzzing sound in my ears ( also occurs during astravel travel ) and the buzzing sound and a vibration would sometimes travel down my body. now to make it even more bizzare, me and my best friend have experienced this in the same night when we slept in the same room. more then one night. and not only did it happen to just me and one of my best friends, it happened to me and two of my best friends in the same night/ same time of situation. i know this may sound absolutely insanse to most people, but i'm hoping there will be someone that reads this that knows what i'm talking about and has experienced something like this. The thing that boggles my mind the most is: whatever the explanation for the cause of sleep paralysis is, i may believe.. but the explanation of how 3 friends had the same scary experience at once?? now i'd like someone to explain that one. note: i'm open to all spiritual explantions, etc. |

Like mongreloctopus said, Sleep Paralysis happens to everyone while sleeping, it's what protects you from moving in real life while you are dreaming. Mostly people don't notice it because they're sleeping. |

I've experienced almost the same thing but never coinciding with anyone else. One thing that varies when this happened to me was that I feel this really strong sensation focused in my head and lesser in my body. I hear a really high pitched tone and it kinda freaks me out. It feels like this huge amount of energy that grows and becomes more intense and eventually subsides. Has this happened to you? I also noticed that it occured during very stressful and challenging times in my life. Possibly as a RESULT of that stress? |

Lauren i totally know how you feel!!! I havnt had its since last summer tho. First thing, i only register bec i read your think and that i was searching the web for electrokinesis. I only had the "sleep paralysis" when i slept way to much, which was in summer. The first time i was so freaked out. But, after i wake i fall back to sleep. Lucky me i have a bad habit to sleep and lying in bed all day after sleeping a certain amount of time. While in this state i can usually hear the tv and other things around me, but i cant see. After about the third time in like 1hour i was in the "paralysis" state i was about to move my fingers. My hand were usually on my chest or belly. I would use my fingers to pull themselves up to my face and start like poking myself and doing anything to wake up. I'm not afraid of sleeping in that state anymore. Some time i feel its hard to breath while in that state, maybe its just in my head or that i usually put a pillow over my face to block the light from getting to my eyes. |
