      why was my throat burnt?

      2 yrs ago, i started attempting to induce AP.

      several months later, i started getting to where i would feel a sort of pressure building up in my forhead btwn my eyes. i thought maybe it has to do with my 3rd eye chakra. then one night i started to feel the pressure as usual, but its radius expanded, and then i started to feel an electrical surge radiating out from btwn my eyes, and pulse thru me. i could feel my head lifting off the pillow, i thought i was going astral , but then i realized it was my physical head, and pushed it back onto the pillow. but this caused loss of concentration, and the surge slowly subsided. i tried to do it again , but i was spent, so i just rolled over and went to sleep.

      the next morning i woke up and my throat was sore. not like when its dry or when youre sick. it felt the same way you feel when youve burnt yourself, like touched the inside of a hot oven. it was like i had swallowed a hot poker. the pain wasnt really all that bad, but it was quite uncomfortable, though it did subside after maybe 1/2 an hour.

      i wondered if i had somehow affected my throat chakra or something. does anybody know what could have caused this, has anybody heard of such a thing happening?

      and since that time, i seem to slip into a deep meditative state far more easily, in fact if i just sit on the couch, relaxing, i feel my ears start buzzing. and when i lay down waiting for sleep i feel that pressure, without even trying to. ive gotten to where i meditate myself to sleep, and it all just happens automatically.

      In my opinion, you probably left your mouth open while you were falling asleep, and you might have also avoided water from about maybe 8PM to when you went to sleep. That can cause a dry throat. And that can make your throat sore, too.
      And maybe you had a night-terror. I know that if I ever sleep in my basement, sometimes for no reason at all, I will bolt my head up as well!

      as i said it wasnt the pain you feel when its dry. i have never felt that kind of pain in my throat except for that time. and i didnt bolt up, my head rose slowly. i dont know much about night terrors, but i thought that those were when you were having a nightmare and was thrashing or screaming in your sleep. i hadnt even fallen asleep yet.

      Well, it was just a suggestion. Maybe you were straining on it too hard.

      Actually, a night terror is when you bolt out of bed totally confused.

      It could just be some kind of bite like a misquito bite...if thats possible


      And since the mouth heals fast maybe it healed up and thats why it went away so quickly.

      It sounds a lot like acid reflux, I suffer from it and you have to be especially careful when laying down, as it leaves the acid to burn your throat all night and can be very painful upon waking up. Try avoiding acidic foods like tomato, and dairy for a few days, maybe take an antacid before bed. If it gets bad, you should probably go to a doctor for it (:
