      Subconcious...

Humans only tend to use 10% of their brains power right? Imagine befriending your subconcious and allowing it to use more. Hence more intelligence, concentration, memory and creativity. Also, with your subconcious as your friend you could ask it for favours such as... lucid dreams! With your subconcious as a close friend, you could communicate with it to help without opening your mouth. You could boost your life expectancy by fighting disease with that excess brain power... if you ask me, becoming friends with your subconcious may just be one of the best desicions in anyone's life. One question. How?

Edit: With your subconcious as a friend, you could tinker with that internal clock inside your brain, making time appear to slow down, for enhanced concentration and maneuverability. This is done by making the brain take in more information, therefore more detail and a slowed time perspective. Or, if you are bored out of your skull, you could make your brain take in less, making time go faster from your perspective.

The 10% thing is not real http://www.snopes.com/science/stats/10percnt.htm

Theres a thread about something similar Here.
I read somewhere that your brain can speed up when you're in danger, I don't know if you can control that through your subconscious though.

Sorry, that website, biast argument. It gives an "Against" but it does not give a "For". Also, it's pretty much saying there is no such thing as a subconcious. Ok, so we mightn't use only 10 percent of our brains, but we should be able to befriend our subconcious which is ultimately more powerful than our concious.

Edit: I heard it slows when your in danger...

Utilizing the subconscious mechanics of the mind is done through conceptual thought.
The level of thought used by the subconscious itself and used in real thought throughout everday life (non-speech based) and dreams (dreams are constructed of conceptual thought, we merely interpret it as sense-related information).

Thus, if you wish to pursue using your subconscious (and I do mean using, not "befriending" as the subconscious is part of your mind, not an independant being of any sort), I would suggest meditation and conceptual thought training (mostly both in one but not necessarily).

Why should it give a "For"? Many people belive that we only use 10% of our brains and that's wrong, it's a myth nothing more. If you don't like that site there are enough other sites about this myth

It is not. Have you actually read the text?
