is there any possiblity of de-sha-vu being connected to dreams because i get it once every day to two days at least.

I much like of the theory that deja vu may very well be memories from "precognitive" dreams or some such. After all, we get a somewhat similar feeling (though "weaker", so to speak) and in the same manner when we recall a part of a dream later in the day after awakening; it's triggered by association with our current actions, just like deja vu.

However, I haven't bothered to give it any more thought or research, though I'm sure I'd be interested to see the results of such if anyone else had the want to realize any.

Translated from French it literally means "Seen again" Deja - again, vu - seen. Yay I'm starting my fifth year of francais.

I like the theory that Deja vu is triggered by a past life experience memory that causes a certain trigger to go off...

That probably doesn't make any sense to any one but me...

Sometimes I experience something in the dream world and mistake it for reality when I'm awake. I might actually dream of something, and have something similar happen later and think "I thought this already happened?".

Hello, I'm new here and this was the first Topic I saw that I had to comment on. Dream Deja Vu is something that I experience on a daily basis. I'm sooo happy that I'm not the only one who gets this! I believe in Astral Projection in Dreaming, so I think that some Deja Vu is triggered when we are awake and are somewhere we have previously been in a Dream. Sometimes the Deja Vu is just like regular "Waking Life" Deja Vu, if it was something you heard, or smelled, or something like that in a Dream. It's like you had the experience first in a Dream, and then again in Waking Life.

It means that they've changed something in the Matrix.

But really, it scares me because it makes it seem like our actions are prewritten. When the moment starts to happen in real life, I know that I have dreamt it and I don't know if I can change it.

In Chuck Palahniuk's book, "Survivor", one of the characters is able to dream about what happens in the future. She knows everything. Just today, my friend dreamt about the first page on one of his final exams (quite useful) and it was the real page.

What if our subconsciouses are AHEAD of us in time and are able to pick up things in the future? Or even, what if the subconscious moves freely through time and space, explaining why dreams take place anywhere and why we often see people from our pasts/futures?
Am I dreaming? Someone pinch me. Ow! ...Crap.
