Possible Causes for precognitive dreams?
Hi everyone,
I make money trading the financial markets. Lately I've had several flashes of market outlook accurately just before waking up, as if an image of the coming day's market movement was burned deeply into my mind. I've had 4 of them in the last few months, and I can't recall anything extraordinary I did on the days before I had these visions.
If you've had similar experiences, would you be willing to discuss what you had done that could of contributed to your precognitive dreams? (e.g. stuff you ate, things you did, your mood during the day... etc.)
thanks!

I remember a time in my life I was experimenting with FireWorks alot. I was about 12 years or so. Then one night I had a Terrifying Nightmare of lighting a firecracker somewhere in my block and it blowing up in my hand some 40 cm from my face. I saw my vision fade to black quickly, heard a rushing sound in my ears and knew I was deaf too. and then I could just feel myself falling backwards down a high curb. It was so frightening I immediately stopped being such a Terrorist with FireWorks.
In this case I think it was more a Message from the One me (My subconcious; who knew I was acting dangeriously and irresponsible) to my Other me (My concious mind: who liked blowing stuff up, kind of ignoring the obvious Hazards)
In a way it really DID change the course of events in the future. NOT predict it. more like a warning of a possibility.
I don't think that PreCognitive dreams are Mysterious views of the future and what's to come, but that they are symbolical messages of your subconciousmind making you aware of what MIGHT happen in the future, what is possible or even likely to happen. Things our waking mind usually puts away and doesn't wanna face.

It is probably very similar to the athlete's experience of being "in the zone". And they are hard pressed to explain the phenomena, especially to the extent of being able to control and induce the condition.
What exactly is 'being in the zone'? Well, in just one instant moment one suddenly has a complete understanding of what one is about to do -- the exact right move. And it always is. One can see how such a thing would be wonderful for any athlete to have on demand all of the time. But it comes and goes. Only the great athletes seem to always play at that level. Head butting and all.
Now, for an equities trader or for one dealing in commodities, as a kind of sport, then having an instant flash of the Market's Condition, and how one will play it, is akin to that Sports Mens 'being in the zone'.
It is very elusive and many athletes deceive themselves as to whether or not they are 'in that zone'. They really should know. When one is 'in the zone' there is no doubt. If one has to think about it, then one 'isn't' in the zone. I suspect they really know as much, but can't admit it to their team mates, or perhaps to themselves. But if you can be honest to yourself and know that you have really gotten a 'flash', then while you are making money for your bosses and for your clients, put some of your own money into play.
But you need to be careful. Compulsive Gamblers are people who have had these experiences of in the zone certainty... flashes. They have a sudden realization that they know the cards or the dice and it pays off. It is like an ecstatic moment. Very addicting. A form of rapture. And so these people return to the tables again and again and again, hoping that the 'lightning will strike twice' ... hoping that by placing themselves into the same circumstances, this access to Situational Realization will return. They should have enough sense and self-awareness to know they are not in the Zone, but they stand their ground and they Hope.
So, be careful. Hope doesn't pay the mortgage.
