I have never heard of the darker dreams with B6 theory. When I use B6, it makes my dreams more linear but not any darker. It could be because nightmares don't bother me, so I never worry about having one.

Well, maybe there is somthing to dreams being darker. Took B6 last night and had a long vivid dream that ended with me being chased by zombies like the ones in 28 days later.

Vitamin B6 enables your brain to create much more complex scenarios during the REM state. With vitamin B6 I have experienced dream content such as to name a few rain, oceans, seeing someone cry with real tears, flying, put on headphones and heard actual music that sounded exactly like the real song. There would be many other details if I sat and had a good think about it. Because your dreams are more detailed and in a more story format, it is possible that if the content of your dreams is dark then you will have a pretty "in detail" nightmare.

If your feeling unhappy before you go to bed it's probably not a good idea to take it, because your dreams usually reflect how you are feeling. I have taken doeses over 100mg around fifty times. It defintely helps to become lucid and improves your dream recall all round, not just the nights you take the vitamin. I wouldn't starting to take the vitamin though without a half decent recall. You would want to be remember at least two dreams a night I think.

A few tips for maximizing the B6 effect are as follows. Try to get as much sleep as you can when you take it. A good 10-11 hour sleep with 100mg of B6 before you go to bed the night before will give you really life like dreams during your last few REM stages. The following tip will only be useful for some of you and I wouldn't recomend doing it for the sake of it. But lets say you get drunk friday night, im talking bare minimum 12 standard drinks. Well on Saturday night pop a B6 and you will dream even more longer and vivid. If your a real party goer and you decide to get drunk Friday and Saturday night have a large dose of B6 on Sunday night and it will feel like you have been in another world all night long.

I don't get to visit the site much anymore because I don't have the internet hookeup anymore. But good luck to you all, hope some of this has been helpful, when I get the time I will write up an entire B6 article with some of the dreams I have actually had.

I'm a big believer in b6. I take 200mg in the middle of the night. None of my dreams have been darker, more nightmareish due to it. All my lucids (last couple of months) have been due to the assistance of b6 I think.

PS. I dont think I could live without the innerweb!
