Thread: A Fun Little Coincidence

The other day in class I found myself one of three unwise individuals who attended the last day of high school. Due to the lack of students, the activity for the day was to watch "Never Been Kissed" with Drew Barrymore. I was not all that inspired to watch the movie, so I decided to enjoy a newfound passtime of mine, HI and music.

To anyone who hasn't tried the combination of conscious hypnagogic imagery and your favourite music, it can be quite an amazing experience. So I layed my head down on my backpack with Dark Side of The Moon by Pink Floyd playing through my earphones.

After about ten minutes I started to see the familiar colours and patterns, and after a little longer images started to form. One of the most prominant and defined images of the session started as a shapeless blob of green at the center of my vision. From there the contours of a bird's face started to form, as if a bird were looking directly at me. Then, from this point, a completely three dimensional hawk burst forth, and lingered long enough for me to observe it from all angles.

Afterwards, I awoke to go and eat lunch with my friends. To my surprise when I arrived, directly above the spot in the feild where me and my friends eat, three hawks were circling. I have lived in this town my whole life and the most diverse bird life I have ever seen here are two different colours of seaguls.

I just thought it was a fun little happening to see a vision of an animal not at all native to the area then go outside to find three of them circling my normal haunt. Not saying I prediced anything here, but it sure was unlikely.
