The other day I was talking with a friend of mine about Lucid Dreaming, and I told him I'm going to teach myself how to Lucid Dream. He thought it was a cool idea and decided to try it as well. Now, I am a bit of a skeptic. I know Lucid Dreams are real, so thats not what I'm getting at. I've always been a bit skeptical of the Paranormal, but also very interested in it at the same time. I've always believed that there has to be more to life than the physical realm but also had trouble believing it at the same time. I've wanted to prove to myself for some time there is more to life than the Physical world and decided to try it with Lucid Dreaming when I read something. What I read was that some people can actually "connect" in their dreams, and not only normal ones but the Lucid Dreams. In other words, when they sleep they can meet and talk in their Lucid Dream, and when they awake they would've both had the same dream and both remembered the same convorsation. I want to know if this has happened to anyone or if anyone believes its possible. If it is, how would someone go about doing this? I know it probably sounds weird to some, as it does to me, but there can't be any harm in trying right? Any help?

I'm also wondering... would it be possible to do this to a friend who isnt Lucid? Like, for example... lets just say... that I have a friend who is even more skeptical about it and after proving to myself its real, I want to prove it to her(Scare the crap outta her... tee hee ). Say she doesn't Lucid dream. Would it be at all possible to say, "connect" with her? This is all very weird to me, Im doing a lot of reading on it and really hope to get good at something like this

I'm hoping its possible. If anyone knows how you would go about doing this please share!

Indeed there is. Thanks nameless. --- research

But because there has been no substantiating or mounting evidence that dream sharing works, I would rely on yourself becoming lucid.
As my friend to was very skeptical I told him all about the concept. I then pointed him to this site.
He was still skeptical. However he one might had a DILD. The rest is history.
If she believe what you say she will not dismiss it entirely.

Thanks guys. I heard(read) some people say that they have experianced this. This is really something I would love to experiance, as I have friends that live in other parts of the world that I wont be able to visit anytime soon. Once I get the hang of lucid dreaming, I will definatly take part in the project!

Well, I've been LDing for 2.5 years and I've never had a shared dream or an OBE that I could verify. So I reserve my judgement till I actually experience one or have a direct experience of paranormal... The evidence for paranormal is elusive. Whatever you gather will be eaten up by doubt or bashed by someone else within a couple days....

Unless you will be able to *totally* defy the laws of physics by levitating a pencil 1+ inch off the table or throwing a fireball at something you wont be convinced. I think that's why so many people are interested in telekinesis and similar stuff - cause if they succeed this will be the solid proof they need... Shared dreaming, telepathy, whatever else is not so solid...

There are a lot of people who have claimed they have shared dreams and there are more than enough topics on this forum about Shared Dreaming.

I suggest a lock on this topic. ;o

And Shadow Dreamer, yes. I know 2 guys who claimed to have SDed. One became lucid at will and then made the other one lucid. You have to watch out he's not a dream character though.

I'm really hoping this is possible, and am going to be giving it a try. I've just started remembering my dream's, so Im hoping to attain Lucidity soon. I have a friend that lives in New York, while I live in Barrie, in Canada, and the chances of me ever actually seeing her in person again are remote. She is a believer in the Paranormal, and I have always been interested, and we are hoping to have a shared dream.

WERRY POSSIBLE,but ppl think simpely about that,if u think about how(for example)ur mom looks u'll see her image, but NOT HER,that's why DCs never beleve that this is a dream, becous thay are only images of ppl, like a artfical intaligance(AI),and yes u can enter ones dream evin if they aren lucid, that's the whole point of my method,if u want to hear, just say

I had had a Shared Dream. I was a hungry college student close to 5 decades ago, and dreamt of raiding the University Cafeteria. I started at Line 5 toward the back door and progressed toward Line 1. Outside of Line 2 I met Anne, a friend of mine who I had met at another friend's, Violet's, soirees. We were both pleased to see each other and we asked each other what we each had found. I told her that there was there was nothing on Lines 5, 4 and 3, and she told me that there were puddings out on Line 1. We both checked out Line 2 together and found nothing. Then we separated.

It was not a lucid dream. As far as each of us knew, we thought we were actually raiding the Cafeteria and did not suspect that we were dreaming, until after we awoke... still hungry.

The next day, about halfway through the morning we met in a crowded hallway, and both of us smiled, because we remembered having dreamed of the other... thinking it something of a secret. But when each of us saw the other smile, then it became odd. Then WE BOTH SAID SIMULTANEOUSLY "I HAD A DREAM WITH YOU LAST NIGHT". And then, also simultaneously so that one was not leading and the other merely agreeing, we both -- remember... at the same time -- told our half of the story. Every detail meshed. She said she was raiding the cafeteria and had came in the front door and had already checked Line 1 where she saw some puddings set out, and then she had met me out infront of Line 2... blah blah blah.

Now, it would be impossible for that to have been some elaborate coincidence.

Also, I should mention that back in the 11th Century, there was a Sufi Order that was given the Contract of maintaining instant Dream Communication among every major metropolis and captital throughout the Muslim Caliphate -- from Spain to Delhi. They would pass detailed communications in their dreams, and verify with letters sent by diplomatic pouch. Of course, the letters had to match the dreams or the program was useless, but the letters kept the Program honest and accountable. it may seem incredable that somebody could ever pull such a program together, but remember all it would take was One Great Sufi Master who could find a way to monitor the Dream Realms -- The Collective Consciousness -- for the most talented Dreamers.. find out who they are, and then send them a Letter of Invitation to a very well paid Career Opportunity. I wonder that nobody has been able to do the same Today.

I too used to have shared dreams with my twin brother when we were younger. Look at some of the other posts on shared dreaming if you want to know how it worked for us. (Mostly just deciding on an event/place to meet up @, then the dream would be non-lucid. But after waking up we could remember every detail and odd occurance that happened in the dream)
