      Its a load of bull.

Technologically however, it is possible. The device has already been created.

It is possible with science, yes. Apparently there's a way to do it by shielding yourself with your energy, the same energy you'd use to create a psiball. See www.psipog.net

Actually, the device created to make an object invisible, uses meta-materials. It uses microwaves and powerful material, to create a microwave barrier around it. The light is then bend around the barrier. It hits what is behind the barrier, then reflects like normal, back around the barrier and into our eyes. So anything within the barrier is invisible, with some slight distortion. This this were to be put around a human being however, it would be ineffective. The person would be rendered invisible, but at the cost of vision. With the barrier around the person, no light would be able to enter. Light would go around the person. No light would make it to the person's eyes.

Ooh, that's a good point. I've heard about the meta-material cloaking concept that's being worked on, but no one I've seen has ever touched upon that aspect of it.

      Hmmm.

The Monty Python skit "How not to be seen" has some good tips to help you on your way to invisibility. Being blown up counts as invisible, right?

Hmmm.... if we are talking about light bending devices, I thought one up.
You know there are those semi-mirrors, where you can see through from one side, but not the other.
So what would happen if we would form it into a ball, in a way that the side where you can see through is on the outside, might it trap the light?

And can anyone point to some info about these half mirrors? How much light difference they need, how much percent can the mirror part bounce back light, and how much percent can the transparent side do it, and also what is the proper name of it, so I can search for it.

      And for ontopic:
Does that divece blocks infra red rays also? becouse if not, then a person can see with an infra glass (and so others can see him with infra also)

      And nice upload Oneironaut

Infra rays are some of the slowest rays of light out there. We can't see them, not because they're too fast for us to register, but because they're too slow for us to register. They're even below normal colours. So, if regular light and colour waves are being deflected, Infrared waves are too. Microwaves are very fast, and I think that's what they're working on

Yeah, you just kinda fold into the wind. It's like... you twist when... the wind... you kinda... you bend... It's wind and you're gone.

I think ninja's rarely tell their secrets. It's apart of ' The way'.

Quote from the crystal links page:

It is interesting to watch your own auric field.

I tried this once when I was out driving. I didn't want to be seen my the radar police so I made my car invisible.

It must have worked, as I flew by them - but on the other hand several other cars narrowly missed me - as they just didn't see me! Gulp! Back to 3D!

      See ya!

WTF... Yeah he makes it sound like it's retardedly easy. I bet even if it is possible about 1 in 500,000 have the psychic abilities/power to do it.

I can imagine too n00b teenagers who think they are psychic, sitting in two chairs across from each other, each concentrating for 30 seconds then saying "can you see me now?", "yes", "Damn!" Repeatedly for hours..

Well... the only way I can see someone being invisible is with a hologram. (Kind of getting this idea from the Animorphs books I used to read back in 5th grade - I don't remember who, but I know holograms were used )

I don't even know how this would work. But how it could work if the part in front of you, whatever light it recieves, is displayed behind you. What light is recieved behind you is displayed in front of you, and etc. Exactly 180 degrees from where light hits the hologram it is displayed on the other side. Now the light will pass through, the way the observer inside can see what is going on. Now about the light reflecting off the oberserver, all the light gets deflected downward to the ground by the inside of the hologram, or a second layer invisible hologram behind the first one.

I don't know how this would be physically possible, but maybe in a few hundred years or so.

well I heard of this small cloakish thingie that has hundreds of tiny cameras that correspond w/ one on the opposite side showing what is on the other side. it would not work perfect, as in looking distorted, (like the way videogames still show wavy distortions of light even though your character is invisible) so one could tell that you are there if they look hard enough.

Yeah, I also heard of something like that, maybe it wouldn't be 100% for invisibility, but it's perferct for cloaking, in natural enviroment

Dimness.. that is the key to invisibility. you make urself dim.. or, as stated before, become a ninja and be invisible all the time.. *warps into ninja self, sneaking about invisibly*

Did you guys hear about this?

      Non-invisible bank robber caught

In the long list of criminal dos and don'ts, one of the top pieces of advice – above not robbing a CCTV camera shop, or not forging banknotes with running ink – has to be 'never rob a bank thinking that you're invisible when you're not actually invisible.'

Sadly for one man in Iran, he made just that mistake – and as a result, police in Tehran are hunting a fake sorcerer who convinced the man he was invisible and so could rob banks safely.

The man's ill-fated heist attempt started to go wrong shortly after he entered the bank, as he started snatching money from the hands of customers. For some reason, rather than being terrified of the mysterious invisible poltergeist stealing their cash, the customers quickly overpowered the hapless thief.

'I made a mistake. I understand now what a big trick was played on me,' the man told the court, state-run newspaper Jam-e Jam reports.

He explained that he had paid 5 million rials (just under £290) to a wizard imposter, who in return gave hims spells to tie to his arm. The sorcerer told him that they would make him invisible, and that he could then rob banks to his heart's content.

Some interesting thouhts on this subject have been written down ages ago by the Yogis. Read what they claim on invisibility here: http://www.swamij.com/yoga-sutras-31737.htm#3.21

Although *if* there is truth in these statements (who knows), I figure not anyone of us here (excuse me if im wrong) is anywhere near becomming a well-trained Yogi, the requirement to archive this invisibility. These ancient Yogi did nothing but train themselves their whole lives, and even then the majority of them would probably still be unable to reach invisibility. Hence to me the notion that anyone could do this by simply pinching their thumb is extremely ridiculous.

interesting may be how to be not noticed, instead of dreaming about hollywoodian invisibility...
