Wink

I can't go into detail right now, but I just wanted to say that I had never heard of the phenomenon before, so I gave it a try. The experience really *was* like what I read about! The quick rundown--I repeated, "I will have a lucid dream, I will remember it, I will meet my dream guide," over and over in my mind before I went to sleep. (This was after.. sorry I'm not quite familiar with the abbvs yet...) WBTB? (got up and read and came back to bed). I realized I was LD, and said, "I want to meet..." and before I could finish, a woman behind me said, "I am your spirit guide. Come with me, but we have to hurry."

She ran down a hallway and (typical of my dreams) I couldn't catch up with her. I asked a DC to help me get to where the spirit guide was (this is what she called herself--"spirit guide") and they kind of looked stupid or whatever. But finally one woman grabbed my hand and pulled me. I thought this was an amazing solution to the "can't run in my dreams" problem.

I got to where she was, which was in a meeting hall. There was some sort of meeting going on, and she couldn't talk to me at that moment, but I saw the back of her head and I woke up.

I wanted to go downstairs and write about it, but I was sooo tired that my head couldn't even get more than a foot off the pillow and I plopped it back down. So I just repeated a couple of times, "Lucid dream.. remember... spirit guide..." as I was falling into sleep again.

I started dreaming non lucid and did a RC. I realized I was dreaming and somehow called on her again. I went into the other room and there was this teenaged kid with blonde hair sitting in a shadow. I pulled him out and said, "Are you my spirit guide?" He looked at me, stupidly. He wouldn't make eye contact. I said, "ARE YOU MY SPIRIT GUIDE? LOOK AT ME." He wouldn't so I knew he wasn't, and I threw him.

So then I said, "I want to meet my spirit guide."

She appeared again. We went into my living room and sat down. I said, "Are you my spirit guide?" She said, "Yes."

I said, "What is your name?"

She said, "I am Desiree. I loathe being called 'Desi' or 'Des', so please don't."

I couldn't tell you a single darned thing that we talked about after that (DARN IT&#33 but I could describe her perfectly. She has elbow length red-brown hair and was dressed in a dress from Renaissance times. She wore one of those boustiers that was white, with a dark... what's it called.. girdle thingy. Her dress was floor length. It was green and maroon and black I think.

Anyway, I'm an extreme skeptic, so IDK if I believe this person was created from my imagination or was an actual spirit guide... but I was very excited and wanted to tell you all! It was such a different situation from any other LD I've ever had!!

Wow, that's impressive. You may very well have done it. I heard that DCs can't lie when you ask them something directly...

check this guy out and see if he has anything that can help with understanding http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/inde...howtopic=39444

He seems to know all about DGs so I'm sure if you PM'd him you could find out any answers to specific questions. I'm pretty interested in finding a DG someday, right after I get lucidity down.

good job! Sounds real to me!

When she commented about what she likes to be called, that really didn't sound like something a DC would say, it sounded more like she had a mind of her own.

good for you. But don't become dismayed if you don't see her/talk to her very often.... Time moves differently over there.

Thank you. I will. I haven't remembered seeing her again, but the last few nights I have been stressed and my baby keeps waking me, so it's not the best environment for LD anyway. (Once she's in her own room I'm going to work superhard on LD's again.)

It did seem a lot different than talking to a DC, so I feel that it was definitely extraordinary compared to my average LD, even if it wasn't something where I reached "the other side" or however you'd want to put it.
