So i randomly met this guy on vacation last summer..and we hadnt talked since last year.

I had a dream about him last night.
We were teasing each other and i kept flirting with him and everything it was intense.
Then today i get an email from him..this is like after a year ..its more the just a coincidence?
      what do you all think?

This is quite an odd occurrence that seems to happen rather frequently to many people, including myself. I find myself randomly thinking of something one minute, and then the next thing I know, a similar or exact thing presents itself. Such as the other day, I had to do a project on hacky sack as a sport, a game which I played quite often a year ago, but not since. Amazingly, I was just talking to my friend on MSN about how both hacky sack and frisbee were stoner sports (don't ask why), and I decided to take a break right then from working on my project after four hours, I turn on the TV and the first thing I see is two stoners playing hacky sack, and then one of them gets hit in the head with a frisbee. Needless to say, I was blown aback by this.

I believe that perhaps this all goes into something deeper.... Perhaps in your case, a similar trait in the mind of humans. You two made a connection to one another at that time on the vacation. My idea is that the minds may function so extremely similar to one another, such as how the same amount of time passed for both of you, and you find yourself thinking about him, and he finds himself thinking about you, and decides to write you an e-mail. It's like the mind puts aside certain things, according to whatever it may categorize these things under, and then brings them up again in due time or something. It's kind of hard to explain on here, without going on rambling anymore than I already have....

Or, on the other side, perhaps fate plays a part in all this. Sometimes, things in this world just seem to happen all too perfectly, how everything single thing seems to fall right into it's place, you know? It just strikes me so weird sometimes, that all these things happening around me are happening so perfectly and smoothly.... How everything in this world is kind of dependent on other things, how perfect everything on this planet has to coincide with one another to make things function like they do.... It's one of the reasons why I believe in a higher power.

Well, there are 3 thoughts. One is paranormal, one is pseudo-Scientific, and the final is rationalization.

Paranormal: You had a premonition. It was precognitive.

Pseudo-Scientific: The idea of "Thoughts become things." The idea that our thoughts manipulate the world and people around us, even when they are locked safely away in our head. I'm not an expert on the subject, but perhaps someone who is can go more in depth. Or you could Google it, I'm sure you'd find info about it on the net.

Rationalization: It was just a lucky coincidence.

Anyway, thats quite the interesting experience. If it is a coincidence, its a hell of a coincidence. Quite intense though, and cool.

i think it was precognitive because its not the first time something like this has happend..its just this was a little more direct.

I thought this was interesting: http://www.snopes.com/luck/lottery/dreamwin.asp

An eighty year old woman won the lottery after using numbers she saw in her dream.

I myself have never had a precognative dream from what I can remember, but I do believe in them.

      Interesting!

I never gamble - but once at work I took part in a sweepstake for the Grand National (horseracing).
That night I dreamed I won - next day I learned I did. I got confused about the day because I already knew I had won, so I assumed it was a day later. Probably chance (1 in 40) - but who knows?

RE the woman dreaming her lottery numbers...
Well presumably everyone who wins has a story, many of them may involve dreams, but there's also millions of other people who dreamed incorrectly?

I hope there's mystery way beyond science - it makes the world more interesting.

That's pretty cool! Hey, I wish I would get a call or email from every girl I dreamt about

I often get phone calls from friends I'm thinking about, like I'll be thinking about my friend Danny, and two minutes later he'll call and ask if I wana go watch the footie somewhere. It happens often enough for me to believe that subconsciously I'm picking up some sort of signal that he's going to be contacting me. Although I may possibly be insane also.

I don't know so much about pre-cognition, although it may be possible. I've been reading up on theories about the world being holographic, and that explains how everything is connected to everything. So maybe it's true, and that's how your brains connected.

      ohok thanks

Could you give some other examples? I tend to find most examples I hear are just odd coincedences, not much more.

Not sure if this counts, but before I knew anything of lucidity, this happened to me. In real life I had lost my pocket knife. One night I dreamed I woke up as usual & walked into the living room, lifted up the cushion on the recliner & there it was. As soon as I really woke up I forgot the dream almost immediately. I walked into the living room & did the exact same thing I did in my dream & there was my pocket knife. As soon as I touched the knife the whole dream flashed through my head. This has happened through out my life as long as I can remember. I have used it to remember/find things to some success, but nothing huge really.
