Hi, I don't know if anyone else has posted a similiar topic, but I did a search and didn't come up with anything.
I've been having quite a few lucid dreams recently, a few days ago I had a lucid dream a night for 3 days! Which is extremely good for me considering I've been trying to have them for years and would only manage about 1 semi-lucid, not very vivid dream a month. I can only put it down to hypnosis, combined with affirmations before sleep because I've just recently started hypnosis and hadn't had much luck with lucid dreams beforehand. Then again, I am recently unemployed and so don't get up so early as I did before, so longer sleep patterns.
Anway, back to the question in hand. When I had a dream the other night (non-lucid) it was all sort of jumbled up and I remembered parts of it, and they seemed to overlap. It was quite a long dream, and it felt like I was in more than one place at once in some parts of it. So it got me thinking, is it possible to be in more than one place at once in dreams? I guess practically anything is possible, but I think it might be a lil confusing if you tried it out in a lucid. Being in more than one place at once would be a bit mind boggling to say the least I think.
Maybe some of you have already had experience with this? Or maybe it's just a stupid question because it's obvious you can't do it, but I mean imagine the possibilities if you can do it, you could accomplish twice what you want in dreams than before!
I don't know how I'd go about doing it, if it is possible, but I'm gonna try the next time I'm lucid, anyone else wanna try it too? I thought it'd be a really interesting experiment.

Since we've got two separate cases here, it's pretty safe to say it's possible, although I've never experienced anything like that before. You can do a lot more than you'd think in a lucid dream, assuming you can figure out how. However, it would probably be pretty tough to induce unless you have very high dream control.

wow thats interesting! Something tells me its not possible, but like dimensions and ideas such as infinity, it is probably impossible for us to imagine. If even one person did this however, it would be a revolution for lucid dreaming. I'd try it, but first I'd have to get good at lucid dreaming...then I would have to find out what it would be like so I can simulate it ^-^

Thanks for the link. Yes, I was thinking about the OBE side of the consciousness thing, thats sort of what I meant to a point. The whole Robert Bruce, different bodies-physical, etheric, etc, so different memory downloads from the different bodies. I've never had an OBE though so don't know what that feels like. It's sort of the same concept but mainly mines concerned with having split consciousness in a dream, it's all very confusing really! I can't wait to try it out, but I've not had a lucid dream for a few days now, it's weird how they come in phases a lot of the time. I don't even know how I'd try and do it, I guess maybe make a double of myself and then try and transfer half of my consciousness into a new body?! I don't think I'm really proficient enough at LDing to be able to accomplish it if it is possible yet.
