Oddly enough I also had a dream about school too. My class and I were going somewhere and then we saw a guy with a gun and we ran into the nearest classroom and waited it out.

Ah, good old precognitive dreaming.
Creepy, but amazing.
In order to make this a case of genuine precognition, you must ask yourself:
-Was there any way this news could have entered and influenced your dream?
(Family talking about it, or someone has a TV on in another room and something about guns and school got into your head)
-Was there any talk about guns or school, the previous day?

Now if this dream was totally out of the blue, I find that amazing, but I have "Precognitive" dreams, only to find that what had entered my dream, was from someone else talking about it while I was asleep.

I had a dream last night that I was shot a few times (and I almost never have dreams related to guns), but I'm not really going to assume it was pre-cognitive because I don't remember too much about it (like how I shot and where it happened), plus it could have just been coincidence.

But it looks like you really had one. I mean what are the chances of dreaming about a school shooting and then actually having one occur that very day?

I am definently starting to slowly buy into the "universal subconscious" theory.

I totally believe the neccessity of precog dreams!!! It better prepared you for digesting what happened today! I have had MANY MANY precog dreams- it doesn't pay to tell anyone, no one listens and they think you're insane.
I too dreamt of an uzi type gun in LD last night- come to think of it.

Had to move it, anyway, because this sounded like a (correct me, if I'm wrong) non-lucid dream.

That's gotta be a good thing to wake up to after having a dream like that. That's seems pretty strange for lack of a better word. But reading this made me remember a dream I had last night where I was robbing an apartment building with some other people and ended up shooting a friend in the chest, but nothing happened. But all these dreams about shooting and guns seem a little spooky. Or not.

I had a dream involving schools and weapons too, except I had the weapons stuffed in my pants and was leaving the school...I am interested in precognition, I've had several times when it seemed highly probable.

no nothing school or gun related was on tv or anything or did i hear anything about schools or guns for a month straight...i woke up after the dream,took a shower, went to the dentist, went to work and we have TV's through out the restaraunt..and after about 20 to 30 mins of being at work, thats when i heard the news...

I don't think this is really beyond dreaming. The subconscious is extremely powerful; it could probably predict things months in advance using cues from your life in the present. The reason I doubt the "beyond" element is because there's have been propethetic dreams that have come true where something differed slightly; if it were something from above, wouldn't it be exact?

If you want to, you can explain this with a combination of both: A higher power (God) probably gives people precognition using this mechanism. It's like explaining creationism with the big bang by saying God created the original matter; it goes together.


An intersting thing to try would be to try to pull the next day's events from a lucid dream and see what happens.

I had a dream a few nights ago that me and a few others were captured outside my school by a korean terrorist group, I just figured out today that the killer was korean.

hmmm.. well thats cool. if only we could hone that ability and use it for our advantage.

I had this dream where I was at school and the announcements said that some shots were heard nearby. We had a lockdown but nothing happened that moment. While I was at my next period, I saw these two men outside. They both performed the hitler salute and then started walking towards the building. I tried to tell the teacher but my friend opened the door and flipped the guys off. My teacher ran to shut the door and closed it just in time. Unfortunately, the door was unlocked so they walked right in. The first man grabbed me and tried to hit me with a crowbar but my teacher helped get him off. The second man pulled a handgun and started firing. I took a pencil and stabbed the first man and ran outside. Seconds later I look back and hear screams and see blood splatter on the window. I keep on running and look back one more time to see the second man chasing after me. Then I woke up.

I can't help but ask. Why didn't you opt to make a new thread instead of necrobumping in a 9 year old thread (lol, shit, this thread was around before I signed up even)? I'm not a mod or anything, but just to let you know, since you are new, necrobumping is against the rules. If you see a thread that's over a year or two old, definitely make a new one instead (or can you not because some new member deal?).
