The thing is I can't dismiss these as a part of my mental illness because they don' scare me or harm my life in anyway.[/b]
Well here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hearing_Voices_Movement as it says in the link not all people who hear voices freak out. I hear voices constantly and do they harm me no. The point is I hear voices talking in my ear now their saying your a idiot and believe in anything, well does the voice harm me no is it a ghost no. So you can believe the scientific anwser what has evidence or your crazy sprit anwser, I live with voices everyday and can tell you their not ghost.
Interesting you said you hear music playing as http://www.guardian.co.uk/life/thisweek/st...1536980,00.html see your just having auditive hallucinations. I hear music play constanly.
I only know it was classical music and I was comparing myself to bethoveen.[/b]
You hear classical music too, I hear classical music all the time, I'm hearing Beethoven symphony no9 third movement. Wow we have a lot in common as I haven't met another person who has auditive hallucination that make them hear classical music.
I guess at first the voices seem to be mysterious and supernatural, however when you get use to it the voices are normal and not paranormal. The voice from Donnie Darko made the voices in my head seem paranormal or magical, but you have to understand their nothing.
As I say you can believe in the spirt anwser or the hallucination anwser. I think having auditive hallucinations are cool.
Reading your other post it seems you having visual hallucination too. If these become more frequent see the doctor as I heard people who have both are very likely to have schiofernia or another disorder like delusions of grandeur. Have you got anyone with mental illness in your family like a cousin, if so you proberly got the same genes that cause hallucinations and maybe even schiofernia. Maybe because my brother had a crazy period and he had the same hallucination problem, I really don't want this to happen to you.
