Can someone explain telepathy and empathy in detail?

I know that an explination of the two can go on forever, but I'm curiose as to how other people proceive them.
And, as much as I'm interested in PSI abilities, I'd like for there to be SOME degree of LOGIC present.
I'm asking because within the past few months, I think I've been experiencing some sort of 'ability' that falls somewhat close to either catigory. I can go into detail if anyone thinks it might answer the question, but right now I'm curiose as to what people think telepathy and empathy are how they work, and how to make yourself more or less sensative or in controll of it, if it's possible for this to be tunes toward a specific person or group, ect., and if so, can sensitivity be triggered by a large sum of people preasent?

I think that telepathy/empathy is plausible. I've never had experiences with either, though.

My theory is that if your brain is on the same "frequency" as someone else's, your two "signals" could intercept each other, and then be read. Someone with the natrual ability may be able to change their "frequency" to match someone else's. And in a large group, there is a greater chance of matching frequencies without trying.

Sorry if that sounds confusing. I'm a techie, and I think in computer terms.

IMO telepathy is something we can achieve and some say have achieved. My own proof is that i am able to talk to myself in my own head, and able to talk to myself another time, i can be saying 3 things to myself. One people hear, and 2 that i can think. Some may say it's just your head but w/e this is my own proof.

Logically, I don't know how to explain it. I have heard theories of telepathy, and I think perhaps that empathy may tie in with that. I know that every person's thoughts occur on a different frequency (scientists can actually pick up the frequency of a thought using certain equipment) and no one person's frequency is alike. If you could use this as a similar basis for a radio, and somehow 'tune in' to other people's frequency, then telepathy should be able to be possible.

That said, let me say that I am an advanced empath and that I have no idea how my empathy works, but in my opinion, empathy and telepathy are both very real. I would say it's all in my head, but when you're 10 yrs old and have no idea what an emapth is, but you feel nautious while waiting on queue to go on the rollercoaster at the theme park, it's still just as real as when you know what it is.

Can you direct it towards a certain group? Yes.

Does being around large groups of people enhance sensitivity? No, but you may feel like it because there's so much more of it being thrown at you. So it will feel like enhanced senstivity at least.

Does being around large groups of people trigger it? Yes, it may do that, though it doesn't always happen that way.

Be a little more specific when you say etc, and I will try and answer any questions to the best of my ability within my own experience.

PS. my guess is that you feel you're more an empath than a telepath, tell me if I'm wrong? ^_^

I'm not entirley sure if my specific question falls under "reading" peopels thoughts, or emotions, but I was under the impression that empathy and telepathy both worked by picking up brainwaves (or some form of energy) that anabled a person to share an idea or feeling without verbal or physical clues.

I'm wondering because latley(being the past six months or so) I've been experiencing a simillare sensation when I'm around people, some more then others. For example, most small children might decide to dislike someone for no peticulare reason, as nice as they might seem they might just not seem right to one person. This happens a lot with me. Or when someone is peticularly angry, I shrink back as if the tone in their voice is specificly shoving me back. Also, when people are sad, it makes me feel as if I'm depressed and sleep deprived, even when this person might give away no clues as to how they are feeling. To me it's as if my thoughts and feelings are determind by the people around me, and for this reason large groups of people frighten me quite alot.

So, the above being my specific situation, deos it seem plausible to be related to empathy or telepathy in any way? I've tried looking at it from different veiws, and it seems that it's either all in my head, or it's a large problem that I might be able to use as a strength, if I can first figure out what it is and how to keep it under controll.

I would say that what you are experiencing is indeed empathy. Don't worry, you are not out of your mind It does seem like a bit of a downer when you don't know what to do with it, but if you learn to control it it can be quite an avantage to have. NBNBNBNBNBNBNB!!!!! DO NOT GET CONFUSED WITH OTHER PEOPLE'S EMOTION FOR YOUR OWN!!! That messes us up badly. But yeah, I'd deffinately say empathy right there

Just my opinion but if you can be in this kind of rapport with your surrounds you might well be an excellent remote viewer. My experience has been that the more rapport/empathy you can experience between you and the target you are asked to view the better the remote viewing experience will turn out.

      Ah ha. Sorry about that.
Just briefly because this website is about Lucid Dreams, Remote Viewing is the ability to get information from afar, information you would have NO other way of getting,( that means your computer as well ) without leaving the confinds of your own home. Ted Copple famous newcaster blew the lid off when he exposed on television the US Governments involvement for twenty years of useing trained psychic to spy on other countries. I brough it up becaye Joe McMonegale, a remote viewer did a few sessions in a Lucid Dream state. He was quite accurate!!
This is something that needs to be explored on one of the other boards. I'll post something there about it.

Go to The Lounge. I posted something there. That is probably the appropriate place to talk about RV as this board is about Lucid Dreams(:-)

      Dear SpiderLily:

      >I'm just saisfied with knowing it has a name. =D

Just be yourself kido. If you have a gift of empathy and rapport with people and things then accept it. Don't take the gift and make it into a problem.
When you feel another persons sadness, then take an inner moment and send kind and uplifting thoughts to them. WHen you feel anothers happiness, be glad for them. And privately ask the powers that be to help you handle your gift so it doesn't detract from your own happiness.
Incubate a lucid dream. Have you had any success having lucid dreams? If so use it as a means to solve your problem. Many people have solved personal problems in the dream state.

      Good luck.

Now that you're becoming aware of how other people emotions influence your mood, like how you cringe back from other people, you should consider using your mood to spread good vibes.

You know first hand how strong emotions propagate themselves and see the effects they have. Now it's time to start generating some of your own.

      Thanks.

And I have to ask, I've got this big problem with being touched, and it seems to be linked to empathy in a way (for me) Does anyoen else have this problem?
