      The Infinite dream

I dont know whether or not this should be in this forum but meh.

      I was thinking,

Time in our dream is an illusion, our dreams could feel as though they lasted days but really they lasted 1 hour prehaps. They could have lasted 6 hours and felt like seconds.

Now ive read about that man who says he spent 500 years (dream time) in a Lucid Dream, but of course only a couple of real life hours.

So i am thinking..... what if in our dreams we stop time and stay there for ever, or prehaps get trapped there for ever. Now what i mean is we dont fall into some coma, real time continues as normal.

So say for instance a guy will wake up in 2 hours by his alarm clock. But in his dream he cant wake up, and he continues not to wake up, and this continues and continues.... now imagine that in his dream he experiences infinity and in his mind he never wakes up.

Now this creats the idea that our dream is an entirely different world or dimension that reality. Its as if the real world's time stopped and the dream continued. Now in the real world out siders will see that the clock rang and the guy woke up (probably also wake up screaming). However, in the dream world, he doesnt wake up and he is there for ever.

There isnt really a question here, i just thought it was interesting, just some stupid thought..

      Comment if you wish.

      -Thanks

Hmm. I don't think we could experience infinity in a dream. Given that our brains function off of chemicals, which each have a set speed, we'd eventually reach a limit of time control. Maybe a week or month's worth of perception at best, but no longer. Our brains simply can't go that fast, much less break away entirely from the bounds of time.

However, I'm still very exited about time alteration, and do wish to reach that limit (days, weeks, months of perception) eventually.

I know what you mean, but what i am saying is set all that aside, just imaging that it was possible for you to persieve something as long as that and your body cock would allow this.

Then think about what i said....... its kind of disturbing thought i think.

But yes, one reason we could experience this is because no one - living - has gone for a week withought the break of sleep. Meaning if you think about it we only really percieve about 12 hours, more if you have gone a say withought sleeping.

I don't think "infinity" is possible, but really long time spans yeah

however, there is a lot of evidence that it might be just false memories. in that oh-so-long dream of yours, your mind would be working on creating these passive memories so that you will remember everything if you try to recall it. still you haven't really "been in" the dream
