      What was this?

hello, I'm new here- just joined today. It's so good to read about similar experiences to mine as i've never met anyone who knows what i'm talking about!
I love dreaming, lucid dreams have always come naturally to me and i have worked at perfecting the technique over the years. My dreams are always vivid and include taste, smell and pain.

Every now and then i would get a strange sensation, between being awake and asleep- it felt like waves washing over and inside me, it wasn't that pleasant and i would fight it (sometimes SP would occur)
Anyway, a few years ago i decided to go with it, enjoy it and relax. I started to feel weightless and rise out of my body. I could see my room from up high (the light was bluer but otherwise everything was as it should be) and i could hear my breathing changing. I was very excited but also scarred so i went back into my body. I was so sure at the time that i wasn't sleeping, but i've tried it since and it keeps slipping into LD.
Is this an out of body experience, or just a vivid LD?

Any tips on staying relaxed in this state without falling asleep?

I also think that you may have had an OBE. Some prople that have frequent OBEs report the blue shades in what they see.

Well, I think you might have experienced a wild, read about it in tutorials, it's a good way to get lucid, altough they say it's hard.

But it could've ben an OoBE, I don't really know I didn't have either of them once so... :p
