(From a scientific point of view)
A dream is in YOUR head and YOUR head only. you CANNOT go into other people's dreams, like you can't wire other people your thoughts :)
Join the club, man.
I have read - in more than one source - that it is possible to meet other people in the dream state.
Besides, would SpongeBob EVER lie?

Dream Sharing cannot be proven nor disproven it's up in the clouds. I am not a firm believer on the matter however.
Carlos Casteneda goes into great detail re. this matter in some of his later books - can't recall which right now. If you find a chat site for Castenada you can probably find info about joint dreams.
If you are adept at LD you can arrange to meet a fellow LDer in an agreed upon place. I tried this once and it worked for me, however, the person I met in the dream did not confirm meeting me in her dream. Maybe I dreamed her up all by myself, or maybe it really did happen and she just forgot.
With practice, I bet you could do this and get confirmation from a fellow dreamer but it may take a high level of skill.
Use the Search feature of DreamViews for Shared Dreaming and you will find lots of posts about it.

I believe that it's possible, but it has not yet been proven scientifically.
It would be possible for example if telepathy is possible. Many scientists think that telepathy is possible, and there are some serious research going on in Parapsychology for decades now, with interesting results.
What results :P? I've never seen anything on the news etc..
You'll find people here claiming they have been in other people dreams, though there's no scientific backing to it.
Because the results are not impressive enough for the news. It can be seen after statistical analysis of many trials that there is a significant phenomena which cannot be attributed to chance. If you are interested look up Ganzfeld meta-analysis in google and start reading from there.
Alright, I seriously believe shared dreaming is not possible. For it to be possible, telepathy would have to be possible as well, an yet there's no significant proof at all.
To me, a slight change in the odds of one sole experiment does not prove anything. And that's usually the kind of results parapsychology has.
Lastly, Parapsychology is not a science yet. It might even use the scientifical method in some instances, but there's no scientific finding whatsoever.
