Thread: Haunted Mordecai National Park ( My Findings)

Hey ladies and gentlemen..

I just recently visited the Mordecai National Park where the house of Andrew Johnson (our 17th President) was born in...If you dont know much about the place, here is a link of a Ghost Hunting Team that investigated it

Also the well known ghost hunting team TAPS (The-Atlantic-Paranomal-Society) Did a show on sci fi and visted the same location--they had to cut it short because members on their team ended up with a small case of food poisin..

I ended up going there today (I actually just got back) I ended up taking a DVR (Digital Voice Recorder) with me to see if i could catch any EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) Which is basically catching a sound/voice on your DVR that can only be heard during playback and not at the present time you are recording...

Now I must tell you that during the tour, there was me, the tour guide, and only 2 other people with me during the tour (my DVR has great sound) and there were times during the tour where I would step into a building/room and feel a heavyness....

Before i started recording, the couple who was on the tour with me (before the tour guide showed up) said there were alot of deaths in the Mordecai House...(you can see the house in the picture on the link i gave you above)

During the investigation i asked the tour guide some questions (off the record) about deaths in the house...at some moments she almost seem'd as if she was avoiding the question stating "There were people who died that lived in this house, but i do not know if they died inside the house" or "I am not sure about the deaths"

There was a claim (on the show Ghost Hunters you can see for yourself) That the piano on the main floor could be heard playing, but no one else was in the room the piano was..Now dont mark my words or anything, but when we were in that room and the lady was talking, i could have sworn i heard a single key on the piano go off...i have the recording so i will for sure review it and see what i find...

Well I just got done reviewing (and double reviewing) the recorder tour of the Mordecai House and its surroundings...I had found some interesting things...I am copying and pasting another post I had posted up at a paranormal site to make the process of what i found easier for you to understand (and so i dont have to type so much)

well i uploaded the recording..i can give you the times of when the sounds occured, maybe you have a program that can filter out sounds and what not to make it easier to hear...

Sound # 1 (time) 31minutes 21seconds into recording

I dont really know how to explain this one, but when you listen your going to hear a sound right before she says "So" then starts to giggle...

Sound # 2 (time) 46minutes 25 Seconds into recording

This one is weird...I may state during the whole tour it was only me, 2 other people and the tour guide..when we actually got into the Mordecai House there was only one other person who was there in the gift shop which in some parts of the recording you can hear them in the background talking to a person who was leaving...but during this sound there was no talking other then the tour guide...Your going to hear a thud which was someones foot on the wood then a faint noise continuing with a sound almost like an old fashion camera going off...


Sound # 3 (Time) 50minutes 02 seconds into recording

This sound i dont know how to describe, it starts at 50:02 and ends at 50:04, any and all opinions are welcome..

Sound # 4 (time) 54minutes 59 seconds into recording

this one you have to listen closely, its almost as if someone is whispering or murmuring quietly... (you will hear a clicking sound exactly at 54:59 then immediatley following is a whispering murmur

Probably the most strangest things out of all 4 of these sounds. right before each sound (except the first one where you hear a faint noise) you can hear sort of a "Click" right before them..which during the tour iheard no clicks nor were there any clicks in the building...
