      Strange Reoccuring Theme

So, I have this happen to me ever couple of weeks or so for the past couple of years and its really puzzling me. I find myself aware of my dreaming and know where I am and when I try to move my body it's like its not receiving any signals from my mind. Its hard to tell whether I am awake or asleep because everything is really abstract, I'd say its somewhere in between or fading in and out. I have really creative thoughts around this time that seem to be really really important, that quickly fade away (a lot of times can't even be expressed in words) after I awake. Also, there is also a presence of something that doesn't really have a form but for some reason I feel it's presence. Sometimes I see it walking around in my mind's eye, but it is just a shadow. When i feel its presence I also feel, simultaneously, really strong feelings of fear/curiousity/excitement. Today, I was face to face with it, I couldn't really make out a face, but i knew it was a face. I was afraid so I tried to ignore it and just go back into deep sleep but the feeling just got stronger. I don't know if anyone can shed some light on this, it's pretty confusing, but if anyone has any opinions on this I'd like to hear them.

Well you said that you are aware that you are dreamin, correct? That means that you are just having poor dream control. Probably low confidence in your dream. If you are aware you are dreaming, you should be able to overcome this easy just by dream spinning or closing your eyes. But, if you dont know that you are dreaming, it just sounds like a nightmare.

Sorry, its hard to help you with something like this, maybe someone else can do a little better.

      Hey,

I don't think you have anything to be afraid of. If it was 'something' there to get you and it really could do that, don't you think it would have done that already. And in that case I don't think you'd feel curiousity or excitement, just plain terror. Try to get through the fear, get angry at the fear you're feeling, that should help. Keep exploring and maybe you'll find out what's going on.
