      Death Hounds

I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but I had a question.

A couple of years ago, I had a dream that I was being pursued by some great Doberman-wolf-undead creatures, about seven I think. They were skinless, having exposed muscles, tendons, etc, etc. Needless to say, they caught up to me in only a few seconds, and proceeded to tear me apart. I have never experienced such pain. Even now I recall it. I woke up "tearing my arm out of the creature's mouth", and I could hae sworn that there were canine teeth marks on my arm, at least (I don't know about my neck, or vital areas, because I didn't immediately look). Is this possible, or was I just imagining things, or am I crazy. The first seems to feel true somehow, but is the one I would least like to accept.
      Input please

      -Kordan

People often clutch in their sleep. It's quite possible that you were squeezing the bloody hell out of your arm when you woke up.

Anyway, I've felt real pain in dreams before and woke up to find the pain still there. So either my body is having some sort of pain and I incorporate it into the dream, or the dream makes my body believe it feels pain, and I wake up. It fades pretty quickly afterwards though.

I don't have vicious images of them, usually but not always the animals are what the owners make them. Of course i wont get one because i like playing with them too much and probably piss it off and it will bite my face or something, i'm not scared of dogs but i know what those dobermans can be like with the stories and them turning on the owner because they had enough or the owner is some stupid idiot who abuses the animal, but i used to have a part pittbull who could and would not hurt a fly, even if her life was on the line. She was too passive and it was all because of me and my dad and she got used to it. BTW nice avatar/sig but Dogs Rule!

*sigh* This is exactly what I'm talking about with peoples' misconceptions about the breed.

Dobermans will not turn on their owners any more than a Golden Retriever would. You can make any breed of dog to be unpredictable or vicious, just like you can train and socialize any breed of dog to be a well-adjusted family dog - like your pit bull. You don't see me saying "oh you've got a pit bull, it will turn on you!" Because I am well aware that the breed of the dog doesn't mean anything. It all comes down to the environment it was raised in and how it is trained and socialized.

/end dog discussion. Sorry to hijack your thread, Kordan

I was meaning because the owners teach them to be aggressive.

Back on subject, I've experienced pain in dreams before. I've also experienced wounds from dreams appearing in real life too. By the way, love the pic Burns

I had a dream something like so. where i woke up in pain. but this pain i caused myself, not my subconciousness. Your brain may have imagined your pain. Or, like Rainman said, you may have "squeezed the bloody hell out of your arm"
I was holding a hamster in my dream . when i woke up, i had cresent shaped bruises in the palm of my hand from clenching my fist, and my nails dug into my hand.

Thanks you guys, I really appreciate the input (as well as the promptness).
On a side-note, I love Dobermans (my best friend had one when I was younger, and he was scared of cats and stuffed animals )
I probably had made the marks myself trying to fight the dogs off or something. When I was little, I would sometimes hit the people trying to wake me up, and have no recollection of it later, or try and fight imaginary characters in my sleep, so marks not too freaky now that I think of it.
      Thanks again,
      -Kordan
(PS: no there was not any Resident Evil involved )
