Do you think it is possible to master OBE's to such extent, that you're able to induce them at will?
For instance, starting to meditate and when you think you are ready you just 'puff' out of your body...
I'm not talking about getting to sleep 4 hours and when you wake up you go to sleep again till you feel sleep paralisis and then do the diffucult task to realize you're out of your body... I'm talking about, relaxing and just doing it at any moment you like...
That'd be nice, eh :P
When I was real young, I used to be able to do that at will.. But then, school happened, and I was forced out of my fantasy world and into this one. I'm trying to get back into it, with a small amount of fortune. Never did do that sleep for a certain amount of time and wake up thing.. I fall back to sleep too fast. . . I tried a WILD once, and ended up sitting half out of my body.. dont know what happened there, but it was sweeeeeet :)

polmc - 1. if you have will, and you know what obe is - you definately would suceed in making obe at will...
and you denied that you dont have will.. you denied that you dont know what obe is...
so there shouldnt be any problem for you to "induce obe at will"
But if by some mistake im wrong and you know what obe is, and you have will..and you cant induce obe at will... what do you miss? need extra superman power or what? whats missing? I dont get it.. strange..
I wouldn't say that I could induce them 100% at will, but if I take a nap at 4.30 pm, I always get one. I've had several hundred over the years. The first one I had was in 1987, 12 years after I learnt LDing. I had what I thought was a false awakening, and I was lying on my bed barely able to move. I felt exhausted.. and then a disembodied voice said "Try your breathing.." (I had been doing some breathing meditation techniques during the daytime). So I tried my breathing technique, and as I took my first breath, a "ghost leg" rose up from my physical body and hung in the air.. as I exhaled, it sank back into my physical body, rising up again as I inhaled again. With practice over the subsequent years, I managed to almost 100% detach, but my "two heads" would always stick together. It took me a few years of practice before I managed to 100% detach and move around.Quote:

On some occasions I really struggle to move around much. I find that if I stare at my sleeping physical body I get stuck.. but if I can tear myself away from that view, I can move around, float, fly through the wall, get outside, and sometimes travel enormous distances in the blink of an eye. It's not easy though. It took me years.. and it doesn't always work, either.

Well.. I discovered it by accident. I came home from work one day and felt tired, so I lay down on the settee for forty winks.. and then it happened. On 99% of subsequent occasions when I took this afternoon nap, it would happen again..
