the start of a very.. very.. very long story

ok believe it or not i've been a member for a long time but i haven't written any posts at all yet. sorry! anyway: i thought i'd put this one up and see what everyone says.

the basic background you're gonna need for this story is as follows:

      1) there's a girl... hopefully that's enough to give you the idea, she's real and i know her in the real world. let's call her amanda. no, that's not her real name.

      2) i have a complete dream world. some of the places are real, some have the same name but appear nothing like they do in the real world. for instance, my town is in there just like in real life. Spain, on the other hand, is made of hundreds of skycrapers, and is just an area rather than a separate country.

here's some rough background on places i'll mention:
my house - my old house. appears in both dream and waking world.
the forest - a huge forest which is behind my house but only in the dream world.
town - the town in which i now live. appears in both dream and waking world. amanda lives here too.

      3) i don't believe in God.... you'll see.

      4) oh yeah wait, i'm a lucid dreamer. i can fly but i'm not too good at controlling scenes or other characters.

i'll try and keep this brief since I'm not one for reading huge forum posts either.

      ok here goes.

      -----

a few months ago, one night I had a LD. I realised because I was in my old house. It wasn't a particularly intended thing, not like a DILD or anything. once i realised i was dreaming, i figured i'd head into the forest. so i did the whole usual run outside, down my drive, and jumped the fence into the forest.

and now once i was here i decided to try and find amanda. now the logical answer to this is that she'd be at home.

ok, to amanda's house. at that point i started flying (it's faster than walking?). but that was also when this weird thing started happening.

it's really hard to describe and the one time i did actually try explaining this to a friend (not amanda) she looked at me like i was crazy.

it was kind of like the dream was fading away, into just white nothingness. like white slowly taking over everything. like i was meant to stop dreaming.

and i knew it was fading so i thought "i have to do something to get myself back into this dream". i just about managed to land on a street in my town and looked around for something that would make me focus.

for some reason, my friend (the one i later told) was there with some other woman. now ok, i realise this next bit sounds stupid and possibly sexist or whatever to any women out there but just understand i had to do this.

i basically started touching the random woman's legs. not like in a sexual way but more just trying to focus on the way i could feel them and how they felt real. and like the pressure when i poked them.

(yeah, and i wonder why she thinks i'm crazy now, right? )

anyway, it worked! the dream scene came back and all the white was gone. i could properly see and concentrate again. but i still had to find amanda.

so i started running through the town. and i passed all the same places that are there in real life - including my school. thank god we don't have to work in dreams.

and at that point things started going white again. this wasn't working. i needed to find her, NOW. so i made a last-ditch attempt and flew up over the houses. but things were so white, and it was really difficult to stay in the scene. i practically fell out of the sky and crashed down a roof. i managed to grab the edge just in time before i fell down to the street outside my school. so i pulled myself up and waited a few moments before taking off again.

      it was really hard.

the next time i landed, i practically said to myself "ok this can just be her street in my dream world" (it doesn't exist in real life). so again i just decided "ok this is her house" and ran up the steps. the white was almost like pulsating in and out of the scene.

"her brother" opened the door - by this time i was really really exhausted and just said "get amanda". but for some reason he wasn't an actual person, and i thought i saw the letters AR floating in front of me, as if they represented him. i don't know what that was about.

anyway, "her brother" went off to get her - she does actually have a brother in real life - and left me outside. but the white was getting stronger and stronger. i needed to do something again.

i ran back down the steps outside "her house" to the street and went up a little way. there was a part where the wall stopped and i could see the whole town, bathed in a beautiful sunset. again i tried to concentrate on the colours and the warmth of the sun but it really wasn't working. in one last attempt, i started playing the air guitar (oh yeah, cause that's what you do when you haven't got any more options in a LD ) but i could hear what i was playing in my ears - like an invisible guitar.

and then, this is when it gets really messed up.

i managed to open my eye.

yes, this is true. i opened my right eye and saw my bedroom, but i could still see the sunset and my air guitar. like half and half split-vision. i could not move at all and i couldn't speak but i saw my room. you know when you have to get up on monday mornings and you're completely groggy so you're basically not thinking, moving or speaking but your eyes are open and you're technically awake? yeah. like that.

i was kind of confused at this point so i shut my eye. and at that point, the dream vanished completely and there was white everywhere. it felt completely different to the dream. like i'd been taken out of the dream. like.. nothing. i wasn't even aware if i had a body or not. it was just white. that's all. it didn't feel real like those ultra-lucid dreams, but it didn't feel surreal either. it was just... white. i couldn't really do anything. there was nothing to do.

and THEN, finally, i heard someone say my name in a really really sweet voice that made me think "whoever said that must be beautiful" and felt them poke me. I literally felt my body move and i woke up.

i'm not a religious person, but for some reason i thought the voice belonged to some sort of guardian spirit who would be the most beautiful woman imaginable if you could see her. possibly an angel. i have absolutely no idea why i thought that.

as for the poke, i felt where it was on my body and which direction it had come from. so if there was anyone in the room i knew where they would have been.

when i woke up i was alone in my room, just how i'd seen it shortly before.

      ------

now. my initial reaction to this was that i'd just had the most paranormal experience of my life. thinking about it now, it might be able to be explained by some massively complex brain function and reflex spasm.

but something definitely made me move, and saved me from the white.

      please tell me your view!

ps. no cheese was consumed in the making of this night.

Wow, thats an amazing story! You had me literally biting my fingernails in anxiety. And personally I think your interpretation is right about who woke you, I've felt that only a few times when I enter WILDs and am falling, and I literally shake myself to awaken.

I hope someone else has more knowledge on this, but that was an amazing story!

Sounds cool. Not sure what it was but just a dream as far as i can tell. I sorta know what you mean by, i can get those. Hell one time i was completly still from waking up from a dream and my covers were slowly moving off me like someone pulling them off slowly and nobody was there and never found out what it was. Some crazy sh*t we can put ourselves through.
