      subconscious speaking

Is this in the wrong section?

I think I spoke to my subconscious I just got done taking shower so I was very relaxed.I had been asking myself many questons about religon and life before this.So I was laying down and my vision kept bluring going dark.so I closed my eyes.I started to see swirls of blue which turned into petals.seeming to form a rose in the middle of the darkness.I started to ask myself questions because I suddenly felt like I need to speak to my inner self.I asked what the point of life was. my subconscious said to just enjoy it while I still had it.I asked what happened after death the word prison seemed to apear in my mind.My subconscious told me to try to learn lucid dreaming again so he could speak to me better.I asked him what the "prison" was like the word snowmen came into my head.I said is cold?I got no anwser. The blue petals started to fade I tried to speak to him but I could not.I opened my eyes it was very strange it was like waking up from a very vivid dream.

I've had dream experiences in which I supposedly spoke with my subconscious. I'm currently experimenting with it more in order to gain some information that proves whether or not they have actually just been regular ol' DC's just telling me what I want to hear/already believe.

I believe you can always hear your subconcious, as long as you know what to listen out for. The first sign is what some people call gut instinct. This is actually the subconcious telling you what you should do. The other sign is when you have a problem or are trying to remember something. After a while the solution will come to you. This is because once you have asked the subconcious about something, it will keep working on it until it has the answer that you need.

In your case, your subconcious probably picked up those answers from either an external source or your thinking, but you are hearing the answers in a way that you normally wouldn't.

I don't know, personally I don't really think of the subconscious as a part of you which is capable of coherent thoughts.

The subconscious is really more of an autopilot mechanism, it's what controls the boring stuff like heart rate, breathing, involuntary reactions to stimuli, etc.

Do you really think that there's some sort of entity inside of you which has its own thoughts?

There are actually at least two distinct entities in every human brain; the left hemisphere and the right. They are both capable of acting independently of each other and of having their own personalities strengths, weaknesses, etc.. Is it not possible for the emergent property of consciousness to manifest itself seperately in different clumps of brain activity?

I have heard of alot of people here who talk to their subcon in their dreams, the subcon just talks abunch of jibberish and stuff, though. I've always wondered...how, i mean what part of you becomes aware of you dreaming? especially if you can talk to your subcon.
