OBE/Astral Projection trough or within a dream??

Last night I had a very weird yet envigorating experience, first,I never had OBE so I dont know what it is like but if anybody could explain what I experienced here...this is what happened:

At first I just had one of those stupid non lucid were you are trying to become lucid,so there was a point were I went to bed and I started doing WILD,I started to fall asleep inside(actually was I really dreaming,I dont know..mabey I was in a state of half dreaming) ..i started slipping down further and further..I cant remember everything but there was a point were I suddenly was completely aware of myself,so either awake or lucid,or mabey something in between..it was dark but then all of a sudden it happened..

I heared a strange noice I cannot describe and I felt something inside I cannot describe either..,some enormous amount of energy making its way trough my body filling me completely with it,I just felt it explode from within and then all of a sudden(something else might have happened but I cant remember) ,I just got pulled out of my body, i somewhat flew up from my body seeing it right below me laying there,it was most clearly my own room and not a dream room(i think??,its all so vague).
It felt great! I felt very light and free, like a spirit or something,I also felt very powerful. Everything around me was emitting white energy,or was made up from white energy(mabey also diffirent colors, cant remember, white was the dominant color).I felt somewhat scared aswell but I pulled myself over it and with that spirit body I started floating around,my room was all there, all the details, everything,up to the pen and my dream journal..everything..I cant really remember what I did..I think i looked around more rooms in the house? But at a certain point I came back to my room and I took the same position as my body(I assumed that was the way to get back) and felt that tremendeous energy again as I got sucked back in..then I woke up..and I felt..

      GOOD!!

I felt..I dont know..and Im still feeling it..its an awesome feeling..cant describe it,tell me what the hell did I experience..

      Lucius,

You certainly had an out-of-body experience! That's great! Some people describe the energy as vibrations making their way up their spine and filling their bodies. Your body is producing enough enrgy to generate an energy double of your yyourself and enough energy to transfer your conciousness to it. Since everything you saw was exactly as it was in real life, you projected into the so called "real-time" astral plane, which is the closest one to the physical world. In real-time, you can see an energy copy of the physical world and you can see people. You can also see other projectors who are themselves OBEing. It is recommended that when you first start projecting that you keep the outing shorts, like 15 seconds. Otherwise you risk forgetting what happened and who want that to happen!

Cool, if you want to have another, try crashing into a wall during a lucid cream. Just before impact, you will find yourself in your room and out of your body! I can't tell you how the hell you "know" to leave the body at that time, I just know it happens. Let me know about your next experience. The quality of the projection may vary according to how much energy you have. And like I said, keep it short at the beginning so you remember. Also, when you are out, check your alarm clock and check it again just when you return. You wil find the time will be the same. That's one way to tell that it was an OBE and not a dream.

The autoritative book, in my opinion, is called astral dynamics by Robert Bruce. There are tons of books on the subject though.

no...he probably doesn't even know what the word 'elaborate' means. he's just a little kid, ignore him.

      no doubt, out of body
I think the trick is to become lucid and then to force yourself to think even less then you ever thought possible, return to the lower instinctual parts of the brain, to disreguard the 'clairity' of lucidity, because it is false. Then one can go anywhere, do anyting by simply 'willing' events to happen, rather then thinking about them, or forcing them in your dreams. become lucid in your dreams and then start to meditate in them, that's what i do. from there you can create anything, do anything.

i agree with the warning though. there are monsters on the astral plain, they manifest themselves as anxiety and paranoia irl. But I think you're ok lucius, you seem fairly calm.

we have nothing to fear on the planes of dreaming save for our own fears, our own traps in our minds.

granted, i think i have been attacked before while dreaming and meditating.
everytime this happens i accept the attacker and do not fear them...i have yet to come to any harm, it is just a dream after all, but I know there are some ppl out there who can seriously mess ppl up. but for them to do that, you have to be suseptable to their attack.

it's like how they say in certain buddhist tales that if one fears no harm in life and walks neutrality, no harm will befall them.

Getting back to the topic, I found out that another way to enter your energy body is to walk theough a door that is in the "wrong" place, like an extra door in your bedroom.

hmm....reminds me of when I used to play gameboy, (yeah laugh it up) I used a gameshark. I could do whatever I wanted, fly, walk through walls (you could only walk without it.) hmm...kinda like lucid dreaming. anyway, if you went to far when you walked through walls....where there was nothing but black....the screen messed up and the game shut off. I don;t know why it reminds me of that..
