Experimenting with shared dreaming

In my last two lucid dreams I've attempted to enter another persons dreams, in order to experiment with the possibility of dreamscaping.

For several dreams I was unable to even remember my intentions. So I began focusing more on what to do with my next dream. The plan was to turn around to find a door, I would then walk through that door, and on the other side would be the person I'm trying to reach. I would then ask that person if they're really the person they look like. Their answer is largely irrelevant but it will be an easy question to remember for when I ask him/her if they encountered me in their dream.

In my first attempt I had trouble making a door appear, but there were plenty available, however I could not find the one person I was looking for. Eventually I tried to make her appear on a bus, but instead I got a different girl who for some reason was all shadowy, as though there was drastically different lighting where she was sitting.

The reason I find this one interesting is because the person I was attempting to reach, commented on the poor night sleep she got. Its an interesting side note as a connection would require that we both be in REM sleep at the same time, assuming it is even possible.

In my second attempt I passed through a door and found a movie theater full of people. I noticed two were people I knew. I asked the first one if she was the real (insert name), or just a figment of my imagination, she claimed she was not real. The second was my school counselor, he didn't quite answer the question but began listing personal details about himself. I assume they were false, the only one I can remember is his claim that he was an engineering major.

I found this experience interesting because I wondered if the characters in my dreams would lie to me. I thought there was a possibility that because I'm a rather honest person, that my dream characters would also be honest. This experience suggests that they can be both honest and dishonest, but also that they don't seem to be capable of outright lying.
