      Can you make someone aware that they are dreaming?

      Hi all, I'm new...and I'm going to do in introduction, but I have a question for you.

      I think I'm having collective dreams with someone, and it's not at all appropriate for me to ask this person while awake. Can any of you suggest a way that I could, gently, bring this person to the realization that we are sharing a dream, while still in the dream? It's something I would like to continue...not ruin.

      well, assuming that shared dreams are real, I guess it would be possible, but most people who don't lucid dream regularly wake up the moment that they realise that they are in a dream so it would be pretty difficult and also people who don't lucid dream regularly rarely remember their dreams

      Everything makes sense once you stop thinking about it

      First tell him about lucid dreaming, without telling him about the shared dreams, and as he progresses a little you can try to tell him more.

      Thanks guys, that's really good information. I have some control issues to work on myself now...so there will be plenty of time to figure all of this out and take it slow..
