okay. first of all, I AM NOT A MADMAN. the other day i was reading a certain book and something caught my eye. it seemed to have vague references to einstein's theory of the space-time thingy. anyway, it stated that all forms of psychic activity (telepathy, dream sharing etc.) draw their power from what the book calls "the warp", or what is known in these forums as "the other world" or whatever you wanna call it. the theory is that the warp is woven into real space and contains all emotions, spirits, and forms of energy and this is where the human mind could theoretically draw the ability to do stuff like dream sharing. i know this all sounds a bit far fetched, but trust me, when you think about it, it is a possibility. but the theory has a problem: this is assuming what will happen in the future when the human brain could have possibly evolved to tap into this "warp". there are other little bits like how there could be danger and a risk of brain damage and stuff but hey, who knows? at the minute im kinda hoping everybody isnt just reading this thinking "fruitcake!" |

Much of what you're describing is the essence of Zen Bhuddism. It is also at the heart of most New Age philosophies and shares much with several Native American traditions. |
