Solving problems via a dream?

I don't know if this is the proper place for this, but if it's not, then please forgive me as I am sort of new around here.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have ever seen something in your dream and used it to solve a problem before?

For example, about 6 years ago I had lost my Math book for one of my classes in school. I had looked everywhere for it for about a month or so. Then, one night, I had a dream of going to school, looking under a desk, and there in all of it's glory, sat the math book underneath one of the desks. The next day, I went to school and decided to look. I went into the exact room I had dreamed of, looked under the exact desk, and low and behold, it was sitting there! I was a little freaked out, but was more overjoyed that I had just found the book.

The thing with the actual dream itself was interesting though. It wasn't really like a dream, and it was very vivid. There were no dream signs involved. Most times when I dream of a place I am familiar with, it's not exactly how it appears in real life, like in this case. Usually, furniture is moved around ,the room is bigger the normal,etc., but in this case, it was an exact replica of it's real life coutnerpart. I found that odd.

hmm... i may be wrong, but you may have had an accidental Astral Projection (AP) or Out of body Experience (OBE or OOBE)... You said that the colors were vivid, a sign of an AP.

That actually makes a lot more sense now that you bring up the Astral and OBE concepts up. It's almost scary to think that I had one of those experiences...

THe location of your book was probably burried on the back of yuor conciousness and you managed to pull it out in your dreams. But thats coming from me who thinks astral projection is just an intense dream of having astral projection. If I found a way out of my body through AP I'd never come back.

-This is what I thought for years, and it makes more sense then the AP thing, which I don't generally believe in.

Hrm... try the AP thing... you can read something youve never seen in real life and confirm when you return to your physical body

I almost did astral projection once AAHH i got to the lights and then *crack* aah!!! my house heat cracked!
