I think these days most people do accept that their could be life on other planets, but they dont believe the life is advanced enough to come visit us. Im positive there is life on other planets, but I am on the fence about a race advanced enough to come here. Although, I have seen some pretty convincing footage, but I would rather experience it for myself to believe it.

What i don't get is when people start talking about aliens are more advanced, but never do they mention we are advanced more then others. It's like we are at the very bottom.

Well... if they can come to us from intergalactic distances, that would pretty much indicate a more sophisticated (read "advanced") knowlege of physics and engineering than we currently posess since WE can't vist THEM.

i wonder if the reason that they dont want to reaveal themselves or tell us, is becuase if they do and we take there technology, the dumbasses that we are are just gonna go around blowing shit up. i dont think were ready for it

Anyway seriously this time. I'm sure it's because we are not ready yet. They wont just share technology with any scrub on the block, especially if that race is like us...all into killing eachother, and all that junk. Atleast any "smart" aliens would see it that way, either that or they just wanna explore right now.

most alien encounters seem spiritual rather than material, i think this site shows our rapid advancement spiritually =]

Ooooo, good point! I like that position. I actually think that if we ever migrate from our home planet, it will have to be as Spiritual entities, not physical ones.

Phht... yeah right. They've been talking about the Moon since the fifties. We've even put people and vehicles on it. Anyone here seen any "Moon Domes"?? That's the MOON - our CLOSEST celestial neighbor. MARS?? "Fugedahbotit."

I sincerely doubt there'll be any permanent, extraterrestial, human habitation in either our or our children's lifetimes.

If I was an alien advanced enough to be in a spacecraft built to go to places like the Earth,
I certainly would NOT show myself before those crazy idiots stopped bombing each others constantly.

Also, I believe in aliens, I'm not sure about aliens that are able to travel to us. But I defenetly believe that there are aliens, both less and more advanced than us. But it will be hard to tell if they are more or less advanced, since their technology would be so much different to ours...

yeah, the only places in OUR solar system that cold contain or hold life, is mars, europa (moon of jupiter) and titan (moon of saturn). but scientists say that when they mean life. dont expect crazy ass bug eyed aliens, just expect like germs and bacteria. doesnt sound too cool but hey, if it means alien life....
