      Lingering Sensations from a Dream

After dreaming and you wake up(when you're sure that you're really awake), does anyone have anything that lingers.

Here's two things that lingered on with me that I wanted to share.

I once saw a huge explosion in my dream. It woke me up, and when I opened my eyes, I still had the glare on my eyes from the blast.

Also, one time I was swinging back and forth on the tree rope swing. I kept hitting my feet on the ground really hard in the dream. The last time I hit my feet so hard, that it woke me up. I woke up with the intense throbbing pain still in my feet.

So my question for everyone is if there is any physical sensations that linger on in the real world after you awake from a dream. I'm curious to hear anything anyone has to say about this.

This does happen to quite a few people. Just last week, I was having a dream where I was sitting in parkinglot overlooking green rolling hills. I look behind me and I see a little girl. I said "Hi". Then she ran up to me and started choking me. I awoke suddenly and I could still feel her hands squeezing my neck. Not fun, that's why I'm going to have an LD and rip her head off after I summon her... soon.

Oh yeah! Definitely! I was wondering if anyone else felt the same thing. It happens to me whenever I have a dream and it involves some part of me getting hurt. I have physical pain for the rest of the day. Like today. I wonder if this can be explained in any way...

This happens to me on two occasions:

      1) When I get an intense fear, I may get this paranoia later in the day and still be able to recall the same fear i experienced. The fear i get is so akward and different, I can never recall it on a normal day, it has to be on a day just after that kind of dream.

      2) When I get some kind of pleasure in a dream. If it's some intense romantic fealing, or where it gets reeeally personal for someone i fall for in the dreamworld. Just about the whole day i feel energized and ready for anything (in a good way). I can also get aroused much easier than on other days

I'm not 100% sure this counts, because it wasn't 'physical' in a sense but it was a sensation. I once had a dream that I was chased down as Bart Simpson for stealing $20 from a fair attendant. (carnival). Eventually I ran out into the darkness and collapsed on the grass. I was encricled by people with pitchforks and then I looked up into the crimson sky. Satan (or what I believed to be Satan) was staring down at me saying "For this, you will burn in the depths of hell." and let out the most demonic, evil laugh I have ever heard. It followed me out of the dream and stayed with me for nearly 15 minutes after I had woken up.

Same. Dreamt of spooky aliens. When i saw them in my dream. Everything seemed to slow down, i backed away, said W....T....F.... and then woke up immidiately. I felt the lingering emotion of fear, surprise, shock.

Oh yeah. I dont feel sensations that linger or visuals. Just emotions. This other time i felt an overwhelming grief(someone died) and i immidiately woke up after that to, feeling sad.

I just usually feel the after effects of strong emotions after i wake up like love, sadness, fear, etc.

This is strange that this be brought up.

While camping this past weekend, I was having a lucid dream. I asked a dream character what it was like to be a dream character, and he freaked out and attacked me. I fought back, but it caused a false awakening. I check to see if I was still in a dream, and found that the alarm clock next to my bed was displaying 6:67. Furthermore, I realized that I was sleeping in a tent. As I slowly drifted to be awake, I found that all I could see in the dark of the night was 6:67. (I knew for sure I was awake this time.) It was as if the image was burnt in.

Thats interesting about the dream character freaking out. Maybe you happened to be out of the dream world, and whoever you were talking to knew that you were human and werent supposed to be there yet. pretty creepy, and thats why he attacked you, but its just a suggestion.
